Hello! Call me Shadow. I am 21 and use he/vamp/bats/cats pronouns. I am neurodivergent.

I am an eclectic witch. I dabble in a bit of everything (as long as it’s not cultural appropriation). I work with the Infernal pantheon. I mostly work with Lucifer and my two pop culture deities.

Witchlings are welcome here! I believe in education, to a certain point.

I am white. I recognize that I inherently have privilege, especially in the United States, where I live. I recognize that I am on stolen land, which once belonged to the Umoho, Kansas, Oto, Pawnee, Lakota, and all other tribes that were here that I can’t find sources for (list is specifically for where I live in Nebraska). I apologize to them and ask that everyone recognize that what I say and do on this blog does not reflect all of my activism and what I do in real life to help BIPOC and other marginalized groups.

I tag all triggers with “tw” before the trigger. Other things below! General TWs, nothing explicit, just mentions.

Not interested in hearing why you hate dnis. Dnis are lists of boundaries and are essentially consent forms. If you can't handle my blog having boundaries, block me.

Some things I post are NSFW, especially when I talk about sex magic. 18+ only on those posts. Kink blogs are not allowed to interact, though. I am okay with littles, but nothing DDLG or any other kink relating to that. Littlespace is a coping method, not a kink.

Random items that are good for baneful magic

-Trash from the side of the road

-Bug spray and pest poison

-Expired medicine with the intent to cause the opposite of whatever the meds are for. Examples: Rotted ibuprofen to cause pain, rotted melatonin to cause insomnia.

-Rotten food of any kind, especially moldy fruits and vegetables. Be careful when handling, especially rotted meat.

-Roadkill, dead mice/rats from traps (do not use glue traps, they're cruel)

-Invasive plants/animals

-Pests, like flies and mosquitoes

Other tips:

-Listen to angry music as you curse. If your curse is aligned to *ahem* certain political parties, I'd personally recommend Rage Against the Machine, System of a Down, and Green Day.

-Scream your anger into a glass object and then shatter it. Use the shards.

-Cut up a picture of them to shatter their sense of self.

We have a blood moon eclipse on March 14th. Does anyone have any plans?

Depression has been kicking my physical ass so most likely I'll absorb the energy into moonwater for later usage. Here's a method 'arcaesque' on the r/witchcraft Reddit gave:

This is an excellent time for baneful magic, as eclipses are disruptive energy (the moon/earth disrupting the sun's light).

Some on the reddit are planning protection spells for activists, and truth revealers on the USA government (govt body and individuals). This is an awesome time to curse Musk and Trump, and the conservative members of the SC.

Additionally, Venus will be in retrograde during the eclipse. That holds an opportunity to break up toxic relationships, or even break up relationships that are stagnant/unhelpful to one's path.

St. Patrick's day is coming up, so let me remind/education folks that Patrick didn't kill the snakes in Ireland. Xtians genocided the pagans. The druid's symbol was a snake, so the druids were probably referred to as 'snakes' when it came to the writings about it.

Some say he may never have existed at all, was based on a real pagan, and was simply a poster boy for colonizing Ireland.

So, I propose that March 17th be known as Celtic Pagan Day. Take pride in your ancestry, respect and honor those who were killed, and give a happy "fuck you" to colonizers of all types.

When I say "connect with nature" I don't just mean the aesthetic forests with deer and beautiful flowers.

I mean the weeds growing through concrete, the fungus that grows on the rotten shed, the nettles that always seem to return and the scary, spindly cellar spider in the corner of the bathroom.

Nature is not always pretty or magical - the pigeons and seagulls you swat at are nature too, the wasps and flies that hover by your meals are animals too, store-bought strawberries and the leaves that fall from your neighbour's tree are not all that different from the Giant Sequoias and it's seeds.

If you want to connect and understand nature, I mean *really* connect to it, in it's entirety, you have to seek out and learn about the ugly, scary and mundane things as well. You don't have to like it, just don't forget that it's there.

Just a Reminder For Everyone

Not every spell is going to work and that is alright. You are not a failure because of it. Keep at it. Not everyone can afford all of the fancy tools or ingredients or altars or all the bells and whistles. That doesn’t make you any less of a practitioner than the next person. Keep at it with the creative alternatives. It’s okay if you learn that something you thought was correct was wrong/different or something you thought was wrong was actually different. We all make mistakes. Keep an open mind to learn. We all learn at different paces after all. Being a practitioner of magick is certainly overwhelming, as well as rewarding, and it’s okay to feel such. Just take it one step at a time and take a break if you need to. You don’t have to practice every day to be a ‘real’ witch. That’s just nonsense. Follow your own path! If you want to take up a certain craft or something of the sort, do so. Don’t fall into something you don’t enjoy just because everyone else does it. It won’t be enjoyable and satisfying. This is about YOU so you should be doing what makes YOU happy. If you have to hide what you do, do NOT feel ashamed. Not everyone understands us and that’s on them. You are beautiful and what we do is truly beautiful and if they cannot and will not see that, than that’s truly a shame.

How to protect your online spaces: Witch Edition

-Obviously, blocking and ignoring any who wish you harm will be the most effective.

-Put sigils on any photos you post- artwork, selfies, etc. You can make your own or use ones premade, just charge them with the intent that 1) no one can use them without your permission, 2) unwanted people will never be able to see them properly, 3) no one can use them as taglocks.

-To protect blogs/accounts, you can put an emoji or a word/phrase in your bio to protect you- simply have the intention "My blog/account is protected against all who wish me harm."

-Cleanse your devices! I use a mixture of incense for my PC (air element to match cooling fans, etc), and absorbing negative energy with salt (earth element, for all the metals and such used to make the device).

-Protective spell jars. I have the intent that no one unwanted accesses my accounts, whether to spy, cause trouble, etc.

-DNI's and TOS are also great mundane ways to weed out people you don't want. For example, on my stim/moodboard blog, I have a DNI banner that goes on all my posts- if anyone breaks that boundary, they get added to the blocklist.
