Are you a cat person, dog person, or anything with fur person?
Made a new batch of essential oils herbal bath salts.
This is the recipe I always use (my bath bomb recipe is also based off of this) and I adjust it to my personal preference depending on what I am making (I will change the salts, herbs and essential oils used and sometimes will use more salt and sometimes more herbs in the mixture).
Baking Soda ½ Cup
Citric Acid Âź Cup
Cornstarch Âź Cup
Sea Salt Âź Cup
Epsom Salt Âź Cup
Himalayan Salt Âź Cup (Coarse grain used for this one)
Jojoba Oil 3 Tsp
Essential Oil 1 Tsp (Lavender used for this one)
Rose Petals 1 Tsp - Tbsp
Rose Buds 1 Tsp - Tbsp
Jasmine Buds 1 Tsp - Tbsp
Lavender 1 Tsp - Tbsp
Lemongrass 1 Tsp - Tbsp
Chamomile 1 Tsp - Tbsp
Using a large bowl, add in all dry ingredients and whisk them together. Add in jojoba and essential oils, little bit at a time, whisking each time in between adding in the oils. Spoon into a jar with lid to store and add in as little or as much as you want into your baths. If you donât want the herbs floating all over your bath, spoon the mixture into a cloth sachet first and draw it shut and toss into the bath or hang over faucet and let the hot water run through it.

đđAnti-anxiety Calm Sea Spell đđ
For when youâre worried about tomorrow and canât sleep.
Version one, to do quickly when in need (simple):
Line a small bowl with shells and fill with water. Write a prayer, your worries, or simply a word (eg. fear) in blue marker on strips of paper and add to the bowl.. you could also add a drop of lavender essential oil for calm, or bio-degradable glitter for the help of the mermaids/sea sprites. Leave it out overnight, imagining soft, moonlit waves washing over your anxiety. In the morning, the strips of paper will be blank, and you can pour out the water along with the negative emotions.
Version two, to pray for the calm of another (requires wand and calm sigil):
In your shell bowl, add a few drops of lavender oil, a handful of lavender buds and rose petals. (If you have a photo of the person youâre praying for, place it in front of you, to help focus your thoughts on them). Add your paper and fill with water. While doing this, use this time to pray for peace. Then, with a wand, stir it counter-clockwise to banish anxiety, and imagine the calming properties of the lavender flowing into the wand. Trace your sigil (mine shown above) in the air in front of you (facing the photo) 3 times. After each one, re-dip the wand in the water. Finally, dip your wand in the water and imagine the extra energy returning to the bowl. Finish your prayer, then leave the water over night and empty in in the morning.
(This is my first time using a wand, haha. Would Hermione approve? đ)
Bay Leaves & Wishes
For a long time, bay leaves have been associated with divination & visions, and have been bestowed upon people as a symbol of triumph or achievement. In my craft, I harness the power of bay leaves to help grant wishes and focus intent.
How: when you use a bay leaf to make a wish, the whole process feels like pure magic. Write the wish or the target of your intent onto the leaf, then dip it into a candle flame until it is lit (only until it is lit! remove it once a flame starts!). Bay leaves burn with a really unique type of flame. It crackles and sings, and in my experience, doesnât produce much smoke. Itâs even better to do at night, in a dimly lit room, because the flame of the bay leaf takes on a life of its own.
As the bay leaf burns, the power of your wish or the focus of your intent is released into the air (to your deities, the spirits, the universe, or whomever you send your hopes to).
When burning the leaf: not all leaves burn equally! Some only singe a little, some will burn halfway then stop, and others will get entirely engulfed by the flame, leaving nothing but charred remnants. In my experience, each type of burning has a meaning to it. If the leaf burns entirely, the wish/intent is pure and has the best possibility of coming true. A leaf that only burns half way means just that - there is only a 50/50 chance of the desired outcome becoming a possibility. And when the fire only singes a small portion of the leaf, then goes out, the wish/intent is not something that is within your control. This does not mean the wish/intent wonât come true, it just means that what happens is up to the universe, not you.
Using bay leaves in this manner is a quick way to get your intent out into the world, and is perfect for witches who have little time for more complex rituals or spells <3
This evenings adventures include sipping peppermint tea (I looove peppermint and am pretty addicted to it. I also grow mint so I sometimes also add a few leaves for added yumminess) and getting to know my new Angel deck. It is so pretty! And I like how positive it is- I also like to find the positives in every situation. Every question Iâve asked it has had very spot-on answers.
New Month Spread
What to expect: Whatâs out of your control this month, things that will happen to you or around you, and what the general âflavorâ of the month will be. What to focus on: Where your energy, time, attention, and resources should be going. What to avoid: actions, choices, people, and other things that may hurt you or hinder you in some way.

Interview your deck spread
If you recently got a new deck and youâre keen to use it, clear yourself some space, light a candle if you wish, and try out this neat interview spread! This spread will help to introduce yourself to a new tarot deck and allow it to introduce itself to you. Basically, itâs a conversation about your potential working relationship, where you can examine the deckâs strengths and limits and discover the best way to approach and use these cards. Certain decks, for instance, work best for love readings and others are more suited to spiritual path. Either way, this interview spread is a convenient way to explore those ideas in more detail.
Tarot Spread: Getting to Know a New Deck
This is my little twist on your typical deck interview spread - itâs how I like to conceptualize meeting a deck [spirit]. It can be used to get to know a new deck, or even to get reacquainted with one youâve had but havenât spent much time with.

I got my very first tarot deck today! The shop had a lot of different kinds but it was the Angel deck that wanted to be mine. I canât wait until tonight. Iâm going to take some time to get to know it.
Spent part of yesterday giving myself some well-needed self care. Tea, homemade flaky cinnamon pie rolls, candles and a book to get lost in.
The tea is charmed for self love. I held the black tea [courage] bag and gently swirled it clockwise while whispering âYou are loved and protectedâ. Steeped it for three minutes and added the tip of a spoonful of local honey [love;sweetness] and a sprinkle of cinnamon [healing]. I also added a splash of milk as a personal preference. I took a minute to hold the tea in my hands and breathe in the steam before enjoying.
