A Grown Up Nickelodeon Town rp Some characters stay with us forever even when they aren't on the television screen. Lodeon is a town where some of your favorite nickelodeon characters now reside.
I would like to apologize for the lack of content coming from the main, I recently took on more hours at my new job and am still learning the ropes. Luckily, this week I plan to release more bios along with create an event that will help the cast explore their characters more. Thanks so much for understanding!
Is a majority of the RPG occurring in chatzy rooms by any chance? Because I started following some of your members' blogs, and most of the blogs seem to be KIND OF inactive... one of them updated her blog 11 months ago, for an example. I'm just wondering if RPs also take place in chatzy rooms.
No it doesn’t. We’re just a new roleplay that is starting off and members are still getting used to their characters. Some are actually finishing up school or starting jobs. So activity will be slowly picking up.
i want to audition but to be completely honest with you, i'm afraid that you will reject/deny my audition.... :(
Well, we would love to have you here! I highly doubt you will be rejected or denied but if that were you happen you could audition again and I would give you feedback.
Which character is wanted/needed the most? Veronica, or Timmy Turner?
They both have connections. It’s a little hard to say which one is needed more. It was be very nice to see Timmy brought to life and a lot of his connections are taken.
I'm stuck between Carl Foutley and Tommy Pickles. Do you have a particular fondness for?
Well I’d love to see either portrayed honestly!! It may come down to which sort of plot are you more interested in seeing. Most of Tommy’s friends are living in the town and are taken so he would have a lot of interacting that way. Dil has not been released yet so he will not have a sibling to play off of for a while. On the other hand Ginger is taken, so Carl would have sibling interaction and his drug dealer is also in town. Though none of Carl’s close friends have been released.
Wait, Nikki Wong is Chinese, Dichen Lachman isn't?
Oh you are very right! Thanks for pointing that out. I will be picking a different face when that character is set to be released then. Thanks for letting me know!
Donnie rarely spoke when he was a child - it was more grunts and broken words. Though when he turned eight he began to recall the words both his parents and hid adoptive parents taught him. He can speak English very well now. He also can speak some French and remembers a little sign language.
He came to live in Lodeon with his sisters and Darwin when Debbie wanted to stop travelling. Donnie was at an age where he didn’t mind living somewhere knew. in the beginning he found it hard to relate to citizens in Lodeon.
He’s still fairly reckless and makes poor choices from time to time. Though the twenty year old doesn’t consider them regrets.
Donnie is very eager to make a name for himself like his older sisters have but doesn’t know what he is skilled in. He works as a busboy at the local diner for the extra money.
His hobbies include: video games, swimming, running, eating, and camping.

Congrats to Kyna for landing Valerie Gray! I believe through your passion for the original character and your enjoyment of the grown up version you really know her well. How you described her handling certain situations and the way her character is - is exactly how I thought it would be. Please make her account in the next 24 hours (unless you need more time, if so message the main). Also be sure to check out the accepted checklist.

activity level
[6] The reason my activity level is a bit low is due to school coming to a close. Finals week is approaching, and it will definitely be a bit busy, but I’m still able to meet the activity requirements.
second choice
Veronica Star
why do you want this role
Growing up and watching the television show, I’d always been a fan of Valerie. She has this bad-ass-ness to her that I had always admired, even if she went against my one true love, Danny Phantom. And I just adore your version of a grown-up her! I love how you wrote about how she struggles with friendships and her boosting her strength, and the traits you listed, it’s just perfect. Also, might I add that your faceclaim choice is amazing? But bottom line, Valerie has always been one of my favourite Nick characters and I was more than excited to see her used.
describe this character in your own words:
Valerie is the type of person who never gives up on projects, whether it’s something as small as ironing her clothes, or something major, like tracking down a ghost. Making her angry is similar to adding fuel to the fire; since her father lost his job (I don’t know if that’s canon with this RP though, so omit this part if it isn’t), she’d become more irritable. Her anger is also linked with her ability to hold a grudge, since once someone has added the fuel to that fire, there is no stopping her from her vengeance. Due to her attitude and abrasive behaviour, people may see her as a bad person, but because of her boldness and her strength, she sees herself as the hero. However, she is still hateful and acts more upon her emotions than her head, and allows her anger to get the best of her. In her current job, she does pretty well even if it is just a cover-up, with her ability to organize things nearly perfectly and her talent for staying focused despite the things that may distract her. Nevertheless, she is fully convinced she is right for tracking down the ghosts, as she does save others from harm.

Valerie inhaled deeply. She was at the bar for two reasons: to relax and to get a drink. The latter she could manage simply with the raise of a finger and an almost friendly smile at the tender. A drink was costly, but for the night, she convinced herself not to care. It was just one night, after all, she was sure she could make up the losses by picking up extra shifts. It wasn’t like she was struggling to pay the bills, she was managing, and by herself, too.
The former on the short list of reasons was hard to obtain, however. People seemed to have the tendency to be around her often, and they didn’t know how to leave her alone. The prime example of that would be the man behind her; tall, fair-skinned, handsome. Too bad his hand was on her bottom, and she wasn’t having any of it that night. Of course, she’d already told him to leave her alone, but he didn’t listen. People like him never do, it seemed. She let out her breath in a quick huff, loud enough for him to hear and sense her unhappiness with their current situation.
However, he didn’t move. He only got closer, and closer, his face nearing her ear. “I bet I can make you feel better,” he said, squeezing her rear. She balled her fists and shut her eyes. The question wasn’t if she’d do it, but rather if she should. She doubted she’d cause that big of a deal, and if she had, so what of it? The guy deserved it. The women in the bar needed to know of his animalistic behaviour, and that they needed to get away from him. He was harassing her and she was angry. And those she surrounded herself with knew what happened when she got angry.
She opened her eyes and took a deep breath, her fist swinging upward and landing on the man’s cheek bone. She let her breath go when he backed up, before putting down enough cash to cover her drink and a tip. The man was covering his face, wincing. “Stupid bitch,” he said, the anger in his tone causing a smirk on her features. She got closer to him, folding her arms over her chest.
“Touch me again and the next place you get hit won’t be your head,” she spat angrily before stomping away.
Congrats to Tora for landing Ginger Patterson, I believe that you caught Ginger’s spirit in the audition and can’t wait to see her interact with others. While you stated a few times that you view her as still a little awkward, I would encourage you look at some of her bio key facts. She is quite opinionated with her ideas of exposing things which also hinders friendships and conversations at times. Please make your account in the next 24 hours (message me if you need more time) and check out the accepted checklist.

activity level: For now around a 5-6, in a few weeks I’ll be more active as I’m switching to a more stable schedule.
why do you want this role: Awkward, creative, kind little Ginger. She seemed like a very realistic cartoon character to me when I was watching the show. A geek wanting to be more. And her love of writing in that journal. I connected with her a lot.
describe this character in your own words: Big hearted, though a little awkward. I could see her trying to give advice, the same way she once was given it. Her drive to give advice makes her a little nosy sometimes, on her worst days she could be seen as a busy body though she just wants to help and understand others. While over most of her teenage awkwardness, she still blunders in some social settings, especially when her nerves get the best of her, a reason she loves writing. I could see her writing an advice column or blog on the side. A way for her to help people and vent outside of her usual writing.

Even after being with Darren since grade school she couldn’t help but smile whenever she talked to him. Something she realized as she hung up the phone, letting him get back to work as she waited for her coffee.
“Ginger!?”
The tone as she was called made her jump, guessing that it hadn’t been the first time her name had been called. Likely closer to the fifth or sixth while she had been lost in her thoughts. With an apologetic smile she stepped forward and collected her drink before moving away to the far side of the little shop. Thankful to find that her favorite spot was free, she slid her bag down to the floor, leaning it against the chair so she could move the small table in front. Once everything was rearranged to her liking she plugged in her laptop and settled into the overstuffed chair.
Pleasantly relaxed, with her favorite coffee warming her, she turned to her work. It was easier for her, at times, to write around people. After all her books were about society, about interactions, and life in general. Why not take inspiration from those around her everyday?
The black on white text stared back at her from the screen. Sometimes it was daunting, like such a simple thing was mocking her. A silly thought. Though when writers block hit and creativity left her, it was all too realistic of an idea. Today was not one of those days, luckily.
She fumbled around in her bag, blindly, while rereading the last few paragraphs, pulling out a spiral journal filled with notes, reminders, memos. All sorts of little things in short hand and doodles. A weird compilation of her thought process in an almost undecipherable code. With the end of her pen dangling from between her teeth she set to it. Brow furrowed in concentration as her fingers flew across the keyboard, occasionally making a note in the journal or marking others out. Her eyes rarely leaving the screen, absorbed in her work as many others came and went through the coffee shop. This was what made life great.
I would like to apologize for not posting any bios yesterday, my plans changed and I was not on a computer. I’ll be considering auditions at 1:00 PM EST.

While Carl’s interest are still just as disturbing and odd as they were in his childhood, he has chose a career in tv. He currently works as an intern at the local station with his best friend Hoodsey. He hopes to be a big time TV reporter in the future.
If someone judges him before getting to know him, Carl has a tendency to be an asshole to those people. He believes if they are going to judge him - they might as well get what they ask for.
His most searched topic online is unusual deaths and serial killers.
Most of the time if someone asks Carl about something happening in his life he will reply shortly with ‘Classified’.
Deep down, Carl has a very large heart and love for certain people and topics. He just conceals it better than most.
