This is a film recommendation for the COVID-19 self-quarantine time. [here] It seems that Maurice gets attention every time the pandemic worsens. There also was an article at the first peak last year. Although I understand this article perfectly literally, I don't understand its context much. It associated the disease with homosexuality because it was called an illness at that time.

The slideshow title – Beauty and Gentlemen: British Costume Movie Best Ever – is hilarious. There are 57 images, but I counted only 14 or 15 films, mostly from the 1970s–1990s and very familiar to us here on Tumblr. :) Several aren’t British (er, Death in Venice – and quite a few American films), some aren’t strictly costume films (Interview with the Vampire, A Single Man), but we can easily guess what they do all have in common. A more accurate headline would be: ‘Let’s share stills from some familiar favourite gay and slashy movies.’ ;D

Hello, @expo63​! I hope you are doing safe and well. I think that's exactly what the writers, a drag performer and editors, meant. It says that it is a part of a BL film review series (it says that the latter non-British part is an extra for this British part but the selection criteria might’ve been if it looked British-ish for them) and "BL" was originally nearly equal thing as slash, fiction-based fan fiction, I think.

Page 7 to 12 are for Maurice and the point of view in page eleven was interesting. It seems that they thought Maurice left England after that (I don't agree with them) and it was possible for Maurice because he had enough money and money is important (I definitely agree with them!).

Synchro Dandies is now traveling all over Japan and finally comes to my town! Lovely booklet but I think nothing new or original in it. Rupert’s bio is about his circus career again but mentioned also his stage career and no Sherlock so it is rather a rare pattern of his bio in Japan. 

I’m happy just watching his handsome face no matter what he is in, Roman armor or nearly naked but…. he looks especially handsome in this, doesn’t he? I also liked the movie itself because I once had a huge midlife crisis feeling like none of my achievements are important and I turned every wrong corner in my entire life so it was touching, really.

I still can’t decide whether to watch this or not because it seems that Rupert is a bad guy again and the story is really heavy. It’ll end at the end of this month so only a few days left and now or never.

The War of the Worlds video on demand starts from Oct. 4th in Japan before BBC broadcast. Oooooh… I should see this but I should rent a TV tuner to do so and I can’t decide yet…
