shoko being inspired by house md makes a lot of sense and i think we need to remember this
the thing that really kills me about all the new jjk art is that shoko is always there. they were a trio. just because she wasn't involved with protecting riko (aka the majority of what we saw in hidden inventory) doesn't mean that she wasn't there. shoko loved suguru and satoru. suguru and satoru loved her. loves. fandom can push her away all they want but it will never diminish the fact that shoko was just as important to satoru and suguru as they are to her. she was there. she is there. she loves them and they love her.
I'm not against poly shipping I'm against the fact that every poly ship always seems to have the feelings be so uniform. every member of the group feels the same kind of attraction to every other member. especially with big groups. you're telling me in this group of 7 people none of the 21 possible pairs of people just aren't into one another romantically and/or sexually and are just dating the same people and nobody just doesn't feel that close to the new person they didn't already know like I've never been in a polycule i don't know from experience but it often just feels like a cop out and out of character yknow.
i wish more people were capable of understanding that a character’s race actually does impact things you can say about them and that’s a normal thing to take into consideration to avoid perpetuating racist stereotypes. and that if you jump on here headcanoning a black character as psychopathic and engaging in criminal behaviour when they have never canonically done so then maybe you ought to look inwardly instead of doubling down and insisting you basically forgot that the only black character of said family was black. now you look racist and stupid
yeah no man it's cool that you don't like the female character for having an insufficient development. yeah even if you adore that male character that appeared in two frames of the show. yeah. yeah. yeah. cool. cool.

fandom is always like “I’m allowed to do whatever I want” and it’s true. You’re allowed to have whatever ships and headcanons you want. If they’re stereotypical or bigoted or dismissive or shallow I’m allowed to think you’re a dipshit. Look at all the things we’re allowed to do~
Oh for fuck’s sake, people calling out racist writing in fanfic isn’t “censorship”. I say this as a fic writer but some of you need to get off your high fucking horse.
Truly some of the most irritating culture has sprung up around fanwork and fanfic in specific like… no, making something for free does not in fact make it sacrosanct or immune to criticism! Your right to “do whatever you want forever” or say “fandom is for fun” stops the second you’re being bigoted and making fan spaces unsafe for marginalized people!
