UPDATE: I, Admin Nixie, am currently without my regular laptop. It decided to die on me the other evening, and I’m using my mum’s old laptop which doesn’t have Photoshop, my PSDs, or any of my screencaps. So, to the anon that asked for the Artie gif pack, your request will currently be put on hold until I have access to my things again. So sorry for the extra delay ! I can still answer questions, give advice, etc. just none of the graphic stuff until I can at least get access to Photoshop.
thank you for the joe hart icons!!! i love them and am v.v appreciative. you're an angel, ash! 💕
oh gosh, this was so nice to log in and see today! i’m so very glad that you like the icons and that you’ll be able to use them! it truly brightens my day that i was able to help!
hi! curious! what are "icon packs"? is that different than just asking for icons for a charrie or?
hey there nonnie! an icon pack is multiple icons of a character / episode / etc. there are several so they’re a pack. it’s the exact same thing! we typically do icon packs by character, though. thank you so much for your question, i hope this helps!
Would you mind doing a Artie Abrams gif pack? I would greatly appreciate it. If you can, thanks in advance.
Of course, we can ! Just please bear in mind that gif packs do take a little extra time and effort ( as our usual focus is on icons since a lot of the characters don’t have icons available and a lot of indie players use icons ), but as long as you’re okay with that, on with the gif-making !
I kind of need some ideas for character edits aside from mood and vision boards. Kind of like... themes to base aesthetic posts on or themes to make a picture collage basted upon or something... Please help xd
Hey there!
Ok, so I understand this question has two parts. For the first, and your need for other ideas for character edits, I’d suggest social media edits. Here are some templates: x, x, x, x.
For the second, we understand you’re asking for templates (feel free to correct us here!). I’ve found some for you: x, x, x, x.
Under the cut, you will find #49 roleplayable icons of JOE HART in GleeS03E13, ‘Heart’. All icons are 100x100px and borderless and have been made entirely by us. firstly can i just say how excited i am that there is a place for this??? i think with your help and dedication to all these underplayed roles i think the community will benefit greatly! i was so wondering if you could please do joe hart icons??
Gosh, you are too sweet, anon! We just thought that the community could do with a little bit of a boost since there are so many underplayed characters that should also be in the spotlight. Having played little known characters and face claims in the past, we know how it feels to not have very many resources for them, and we are just as excited to be giving them some well-deserved love. As for the icons, of course we could! One of our admins will get right on it!
Under the cut, you will find #160 roleplayable icons of MERCEDES JONES in Glee S01E01, ‘Pilot’. All icons are 100x100px and borderless and have been made entirely by us. There is no need to give us credit (though it will always be appreciated!). All we ask is that you LIKE or REBLOG before using or downloading.
So, as we all know, making icons can be difficult and very time consuming. but, making icons in batches can save you loads of time and a lot of tears!
first, you’re going to open photoshop. go to file -> scripts -> load files into stack.
you’ll come to a page like this. next, you’ll click browse.
go to the folder you want, and select the screencaps you want, click open.
now, my computer personally runs very fast, so i’ve uploaded as much as 1000 screencaps at a time. i would not recommend that for everyone. they do take time to load up into photoshop. if you don’t want to wait ten minutes, i would suggest doing up to 70-80 caps at a time. when you’ve got them all loaded into the box, hit okay and wait for the screencaps to load.
this is what it should look like when everything has loaded. ( ignore the timeline bar at the bottom of my screen, i’ll show you how to add that in later! ) now, what you’ll wanna do next is make the caps the size of your psd.
go to the toolbar and select image -> canvas size.
this box will pop up and it will originally show up in inches. make sure to change inches to pixels. otherwise you will be very confused at the result. change it to the dimensions of what your psd is, for example, width and height would be 100x100 if that’s the size of your psd. my psd is 120x120.
go ahead and click on proceed.
this is the screen you should have after you adjust the canvas size. to get the rectangular shape of your image, you’ll hit command+T ( control if you’re not on a mac ).
this is how you will adjust your image. for easy navigating, i recommend clicking one of the corners and holding down shift while you adjust. it will keep the image from getting distorted, and makes everyone’s lives a lot easier.
when you’re satisfied with the way your image looks, hit enter. to move on to the next image, click on the eye so that it isn’t visible. make sure that the image you’re editing is highlighted as well. otherwise it won’t do anything.
this is the step you will repeat until all of your caps are edited.
when you’re happy with the way your icons look, you’ll go up to the toolbar again.
window -> timeline
that will give you the timeline bar at the bottom of your screen.
make sure the setting is under create frame animation
next you’ll click the four horizontal lines on the right hand side of the timeline tool bar. you’ll want to click make frames from layers. all of the images will load into the toolbar.
if you’re like me, you’ll want your icons in order, so you’ll go back to the horizontal lines and select reverse frames. THIS STEP IS OPTIONAL.
make sure that you select the top layer, and the first one in the lineup on the toolbar.
next go to file -> open and select your psd from wherever you have it saved.
my advice to you: put your actual psd in a folder, with the background image outside. it makes things a lot easier.
now, you’ll want to drag the psd out of the tab like shown in the picture.
drag your psd folder from the sidebar to your new image.
adjust the psd to your desire, make sure it looks the way you want it to with your border etc.
when it looks the way you want it to and you’re ready to save, go to file -> export -> render video.
you’ll change the setting from adobe media encoder to photoshop image sequence.
select the way you want to save your file, as jpg or png etc. i personally save my icons as .png
find where you want to save your files to, whether a pre existing folder or a new one, name your file the way you want it, and then hit render. then you’re all done!
