Just another lame puzzle?

“Pop the Maze" is a mobile game where the player must solve a labyrinth within a given amount of time.

So, is this just another lame puzzle?

Well, in spite of the simple concept, this game is more sophisticated than many. It has been thoughtfully tested and optimised for gameplay experience. Hopefully, this will make it stand out.

The game mechanics are carefully designed to enhance playing on mobile surfaces. The touch control is custom tailored in order to achieve the best gameplay possible. You can swipe and release to move fast, hold and drag to move more precisely. The game is very responsive to your fingers finesse and subtlety of movement.

The camera follows you smoothly around the game. The viewport is limited, so you can’t see the complete maze while playing. You can only see a small area around you. This will challenge both your memory and sense of place.

Designed for gradual progression, the game will slowly increase in difficulty. For each level, the maze gets a little bit bigger. But you will also get slightly more time to solve it. Each board is randomly generated, so you will never play the same maze twice.

“Pop the Maze”

Yeah, the first version of my first official mobile game “Pop the Maze” has now been released on the iTunes App Store. 

I know, it’s not the most complex game in the world. But I like it. It’s a time-killing pocket game concept. And I think the game mechanics are kind of cool.

I thought the little game deserved its own place on the internet:
