Writing prompts inspired by my own autistic issues
Touch aversion
Yelling when touched unexpectedly
Slapping the skin that got touched "wrong" to reset the sensation
Or on the contrary, so sensitive to hard touch that something like slapping makes them scream in pain
Hugs being awful. Yet they want to be touched and they can't reconcile it.
Seeking other forms of touch to balance out the "bad" kind
Light, gentle touch setting them off into meltdown territory
Only hating being touched when they're focused
Unable to stand showers. When someone tries to help them out they start sobbing, trying to explain that they can't do it. Just give them a wet towel, please.
Unable to explain that it's being touched that's doing this to them
Having delayed reactions. Suddenly starting to have a meltdown a couple minutes later and nobody knows what happened
