I just miss home and my sister got into town a few days ago and now all I can think about is how much I just want to go back to Georgia."

"I don’t know. I’ve just been really sad lately and we’re out of pumpkin spice coffee creamer and I just started crying and it’s stupid."
☾ — "Rain... are you okay? You've been acting... sad for the past few days now. Have I... said something? Or done something?"

Lydia: You ready to come over and have some fun?
[Tristan]: ....Excuse me?
"I guess you’re right. I’m still getting used to this. I’ve had normal metabolism for so long that it’s hard to wrap my head around the fact that I don’t really need to watch what I eat anymore. And I do know how much energy it takes to transform. I’m still tired from Saturday. You really should have warned me about that."
☾ -- "Sorry... I guess I sometimes forget you're still new to this whole thing. You just act so relaxed about it most times... Completely different to way I reacted."
"Because then I would be unhappy with myself? I understand that you love me no matter what, but I don’t love me when I’ve packed on the pounds."
☾ -- "Rain, I really don't think the occasional enjoyment of more then one cupcake is going to hurt. Besides, you've got werewolf metabolism now. You'd be surprised how much energy to takes to transform... why do you think I'm hungry for meat all the time?"
"Only if you want a fat girlfriend."
☾ -- "What's wrong with that? Not that you would be fat."
"Does anybody else always want more after eating just one cupcake? I can’t be the only one."

It was stupid early in the morning here in California and Raina had been awake for nearly four hours. Her body was still used to her home time zone and she’d probably do this the entire time they were on holiday. She’d already gone for a run and showered, hoping that might help her to go back to sleep for a few hours, but that hadn’t worked. She’d just laid in bed and thought about what she’d be doing if she were at home right now. So she’d gotten up and decided to take a stroll down the beach.
Her toes curled into the sand as she walked along the dunes. She was completely lost in thought, paying no mind to the people in the water. She swiped her thumb across her phone, staring at the screen trying to decide if she should call Lissi. It wasn’t that early back home, but if she knew her best friend, she knew one thing. The girl had probably been out drinking way too much last night and was probably sleeping off a hangover. So she decided to just shoot her a quick text, knowing the alert wouldn’t wake the girl and told her to call her later when she was among the living.
A shiver ran through her and she wished that she had grabbed the sweatshirt that she’d packed. She tucked her phone into her back pocket and wrapped her arms around herself, rubbing her hands up and down her biceps. She felt eyes on her and she looked up, realizing that she was walking toward somebody. Her steps slowed as she let her gaze sweep over his body. He wasn’t overly tall, but he was broad, well muscled and the way his swim trunks clung to his hips brought a rosy blush to her cheeks.
Blue-gray hues snapped up to meet warm brown, as she grew closer. A small smile tugged at her lips, revealing dimples and a hand came up to tuck a few golden waves behind her ear. “Beautiful morning.” She murmured softly, her sweet Southern accent making her voice almost sound like a pur as she came to a stop a few feet away from him. She turned to face the ocean, watching the sky as it turned from pink to orange. “I couldn’t imagine getting to see this every day.”
Tristan felt his heart pound in his chest and his face grew warm. He had yet to notice his mouth had gaped open slightly. It wasn't like there weren't beautiful girls in Carmel, or anywhere else he'd been in California to attend swimming competitions - but he honestly thought she was the most beautiful girl he'd ever seen. Her smile made his throat go dry and hoarse and her lovely Southern belle accent send a shiver down his spine that went straight to his groin.
Not ideal when you're wearing wet, clingy swimming shorts.
"U-Uh--" He had to stop and clear his throat, feeling shame sweep through him. He'd stumbled at the first hurdle. It wasn't very often he got to speak to a girl who was supermodel worthy. "Y-Yeah, it-it is... beautiful, I mean. Uh..."
He turned slightly to follow her gaze, watching the sky change colour. While she was distracted, he took the time to look at her. The sun made her hair shine like gold, her eyes light up like jewels. Tristan turned quickly away and busied himself with drying his hair.
"It's like that every morning." He confirmed, pulling the towel off his head, leaving his hair in mismatched spikes.

Mornings on Carmel beach might have looked surreal from a tourist's perspective, expecting warm breezes and a dry climate. Before the sun came up, mist clung to the cliff sides, completely shrouding the beaches from view of the town. Not many people were awake at this time, let alone on the beach, but there were a few...
One of them stepped out of the waves just as the first rays were looking to peak out from underneath the horizon. The sun would burn away the fog and the temperature would rise, until it reached it's peak in the sky and became the stereotypical Cali climate the tourists expected.
The figure from the waves was young, toned and what some would consider attractive, in a dark featured, thoughtful sort of way. He had short hair that a brown so dark it looked black; doe brown eyes with a strong brow and a thoughtful face. Being a local star athlete in swimming, he had broad shoulders and strong arms that tapered into a slim waist.
His lightly tanned skin came up in goosebumps from the cold waters and water dripped from his hair and down his body. His swimming shorts clung to his backside, highlighted as he jogged up the beach to the dunes, where he had left his things in a large sports bag. He had just pulled out a towel to dry himself down when he turned and spotted a figure out of the corner of his eye. Turning towards them curiously, he watched their approach.
So, I was thinking...
And I love you, Tristan. *Her breath catches for a moment and she inhales deeply, taking in his scent.* I’m waiting until after graduation.

Hmmm….well they’re doing a double feature at the drive in, Breakfast Club and Pretty in Pink. We could take a bunch of pillows and blankets to put in the back of Lola and snuggle up together while we watch them.
Sounds... wonderful. I can't wait. [ He leans forward and kisses her slowly, enjoying every long moment. ]
