I’m so sad! I saw a new Theo Raeken/Stiles Stilinski fic today at Ao3, the author said in the introduction that it was its first attempt to write something.

I wanted to read it at night, but it’s gone...

It made me think that it may have been because they felt unwanted or that they were not good enough. I had those feelings too.

Don’t be afraid to share your work! Even if the quality of the writing it’s not great, you can always get better and someone might enjoy your fic or the idea behind it!

What I’m trying to say it’s that if you like it and you want to post it, do it! Don’t let people, or the lack of likes or comments put you down!

Writing it’s also something that we do for ourselves, you liked the idea you spent time writing it! You did great! And everything you do only enriches a fandom creating more content for us to enjoy!

1. They also invented kayaks and dog booties.

Dog booties are actually really important for working sled dogs in winter to protect their paw pads from iceburn and keep ice from getting in between their toes and burning them that way.

2. The traditional Inuit diet is one of the healthiest in the world, and the most balanced for the ratio of Omega 3 to Omega 6 consumption

Most modern diets consume way too much Omega 6 and not enough Omega 3.

3. Inuit is a plural noun. When speaking about a single person the correct word is Inuk (always capitalized)

For example, “This Inuk woman is wearing traditional Inuit tattoos”.

So lately there’s been a lot of scary things happening in media (journalism is dying and there’s huge media layoffs, Amazon, Disney and Netflix are taking over everything, etc). I want everyone to remember how truly amazing and unique AO3 is and the sheer amount of organization and work it takes for it to be independent - many of you on here are young and may not know how much it changed being a fan.
