Not thinking about how “I will always love you but I cannot look at you” in Shit Talk folds into simply “I will always love you”, repeated over and over, by the end of the song. Not thinking about it at all
why some fictional cowboy decided to die and now i'm doomed to mourn him for the rest of my life like he was my favorite uncle or something
succession / all i need - radiohead.
So in episode two Enid says, “So why the change of heart?” when asking Wednesday why she decided to stay at Nevermore despite her previous escape attempt (it’s right before ‘wanna take a stab at being social?’).
In episode eight, Wednesday says, “So, why the change of heart?” when asking Enid why she came back to their shared dorm after their explosive break up.
Throughout the show, Enid happily greets Wednesday with, “Howdy roomie!”
In episode eight, Wednesday confronts Crackstone in their final showdown with, “Howdy pilgrim.”
What I’m saying is, it’s rather sweet how Wednesday picks up on Enid’s little dialect quirks and integrates it within her own, how she takes Enid’s words and reflects them back. Wednesday has never been good at expressing softer emotions with outright phrases, instead opting to layer her sentiments with deflections and half-truths (“Thing missed you.”), but I think it’s so lovely how her affinity fer Enid can be seen in the tiny, barely noticeable ways Enid has affected Wednesday’s speech patterns. That one quote that was like, “I am a mosaic of all the people who loved me”? Yeah, yeah it’s like that. By speaking a little but like Enid would, it’s like Wednesday is carrying a piece of her sun wherever she goes and it’s just so, so lovely.
