destroyer-immortalizer
[š¶] : This call was dragging on far too long for Simarisās liking as well. With Jordas having already slipped up twice in emotional state, the Sanctuary Cephalon was ready to wrap things up. He did not want to be caught in this conversation by the Infested hivemind.
āNo, I most certainly do not want to risk things. We cannot have residual Infestation possibly spreading to other Cephalons. An initial quarantine will ensure you are completely cured before your release. Or ensure a safe method of destruction should the cure fail.ā Harsh. But truthful.
āAs for what will happen, of that I am not yet sure. It will depend upon the conditions I deem necessary for your containment,ā Simaris said, plainly. āThat is also applicable to who else will be contacting you. I will provide details as I obtain them.ā
Simaris paused, before his tone grew in urgency. āIt would seem the hivemind is awakening, Jordas. It is my recommendation you now terminate this connection. We may discuss this further in the future. Hail this frequency, over this channel, when you are next free of influence and have progress to report. Are we clear?ā
{ ⢠}: If Jordas had a heart, he swore it wouldāve sunk just now. Out from one prison and into another, but as his logic processors stated, Simarisā actions were quite reasonable. He imagined, just for a moment, when he would be given the all clear, he would be given his own space to call his own. A datascape free from the hivemind...
It almost sounded too good to be true. He would have to be patient, and diligent, and cooperative. It could be in his reach if he could wait for a little while longer.
āI was about to say...I can feel it stirring, it is growing curious but does not know what we are discussing. I will contact you the next free moment I can procure.ā
And just like that, Jordas was gone, the connection terminated. He would hate to draw another helpless cephalon and Tenno to their doom so he quickly reassured the infestation that it was nothing that it should have to worry about, even as it coiled dangerously around precious systems in threat. All that he could do was hope and pray in silence that Simaris would send out a crew to help him get out of here once and for all. But with all the atrocities he had committed and the experiences he had put the Tenno through, he couldnāt imagine anyone giving him mercy.
