Work has its way of messing up a person’s day – and that’s what Kyuhyun had for the day. Cleaning up his desk as he prepares himself to go home, a sudden cheeky thought crossed his mind – Siwon wearing his favourite pink apron, swaying his round ass, cooking their dinner.
With that sudden thought of food, his stomach did not hesitate, even one second, to grumble as loud. For Kyuhyun that’s already a sign. “OK! I’m done!” he exclaimed when he saw his desk neat and clean.
Usually, Kyuhyun won’t mind the moises he’d hear by the time he opens the front door – he perfectly knew what’s happening – Siwon whose busy utilizing every kitchen tools they have for a perfect dinner that would level those that of the fancy restaurants.
At times, simultaneous usage of the blender and the mixer could be heard, but not today. Kyuhyun’s frown deepened. Today is Friday, and when it’s that time of the week it’s supposed to be their allotted special day to bond with food.
“Siwon?” Kyuhyun slowly walked passed through the kitchen entrance. His head lolling to the side with eyes roaming around trying to look for Siwon. “Oy! Swon?”
Kyuhyun heard a soft ‘uhmm’ as a response. He then noticed one of their kept bottles of wine is missing from the wine rack. He knew where to look for and so he dropped his sling bag on the floor along with the house keys he was holding.
Siwon’s usual smile would extend from ear to ear but tonight it feels and looks different than usual. Kyuhyun sat beside Siwon. He stared at him without even saying a word. He felt it was the best thing to do.
His beloved entered, he knew, he felt it, he gave off a smile but he didn’t budge and instead he asked, all of a sudden. “Have you ever felt tired..” Siwon paused for a bit, turned his head towards Kyuhyun’s loving stare and continued, “.. of loving me?”
For a second there, Kyuhyun was left dumbfounded upon hearing the question. Instead of answering Siwon, what he did was give off a funny kind of laugh.
Siwon’s face was then painted with questions. “What’s with the sudden laugh? I was seriously asking though?”
“Ehrm..” Kyuhyun cleared his throat before facing Siwon with a wide grin. “Because you sound ridiculous that’s all..”
“Oh?” Siwon raised his right brow.
Kyuhyun took the wine glass from Siwon’s hand. Brought it to his nose, inhaled the wine’s fragrance before taking a sip.
“You know you don’t have to ask such things..”
“It’s just that..” Siwon blew out a sigh.
“I loved you for years. Never stopped. And will continue even until time stops. I know loving you for a few more years won’t hurt.”
Days would definitely pass by. The clock will continue to turn even after 24 hours. Each year you put up and flip on the pages of a new calendar, for a new year.
Kyuhyun is certain that the love he’s feeling will not wear out even after another decade would pass.
