Thinking about Mack who trained so fucking hard in Vancouver the whole summer, how people who were there with him described him as intense and extremely dedicated, how fucking trainers told him/his victims that they shouldn’t train as much.

And then enter Smith, 21 and suddenly he’s all giggly on the ice, doing stupid tricks to make him laugh, talking, looking like he’s actually happy to be there instead of just doing drills until he can’t even tell his right from his left anymore.
