Pro shippers, anti shippers, ship shippers, I don't understand shit about fuck. I see nice art? I read a good fic? I save it. A lot of the times I don't even realized it was shipping art. And if I do? Don't care pretty art.
90% of the time I don't even actually ship the characters. Or if im doing my ao3 roulette, I don't even know who the characters are or have the slightest knowledge about the media they might be from. I have 91 hard exclusion tags I gotta type into ao3 manually every time I enter a fandom or do roulette. And its only getting longer.
I think some people need to grab a barbie doll and go play with children ages 5-10. They will happily create a scenario where barbie eats kens face off and uses his body as fertilizer for their kitten growing grass seeds and dinosaur egg trees. And that's not even getting into the alien side story.
Basically, more people should randomize and roll a dice for reading fics. I promise you will find worse things to be horrified about then 2 fictional ken dolls being rotated in someone's mind. Your ability to tolerate the obscene will only grow over time.
