Developer’s Blog: By Pupular Demand
Pups are such a central attraction of WolfQuest that it’s hard to believe the game lacked them initially. But those furballs we added in WolfQuest 2 back in 2010 now are getting a bit long in the tooth, so we decided to remake them along with the rest of the game for WolfQuest 3.

Wildest Dreams: The Story of WolfQuest
Chapter 1: Genesis
Ten years ago today, we first released WolfQuest into the world. I daresay nobody in their wildest dreams, whether on the WolfQuest team or eagerly downloading (or trying to download) it, could have imagined that the game would still be going strong today. And yet, here we are. To commemorate this minor but remarkable event, we’ve made a documentary video about the history of the game. Actually, the documentary turned into a bigger project than expected (hmm, sense a pattern here?) so we’re going to release it in three chapters. Here’s the first one, “Genesis.” Enjoy!
Read and comment on the first entry of this documentary here:Â http://wolfquest.org/bb/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=83616
Bug puppy - 2017 This is Moonpearl, believe it or not, she is supposed to be white but bugged out in mid game a turned brown! well, maybe she just rolled in the mud too much?,,,
Yeah, I've had people saying "but alphas are in charge!1!1!!!1 this is just your opinion!11!!!!"
lol yeah. good to know scientific fact is “just an opinion”. to give them some credit, most are 13 year olds who got most of their knowledge of wolves from pop culture and kid’s media, so they don’t know any better
Naw, it was Wolf Haven. www(.)wolf-haven(.)com/Pages/Profile/83736
haha oh man i used to play that when it first came out. yeah it’s lame
This isn't WQ related but it is a wolf game... I joined some shitty wolf browser game to spread the message of alphas not being a thing. I now have a fursona named AlphasArentReal
was it wolfhome you’re doing the lord’s work. have fun pissing off all the people who impress human values on animals
Developer’s Blog: Teen Pup for Tower Fall
The new pup for Tower Fall is coming along! Here it is alongside the younger pup from Slough Creek (about 6 weeks old) and an adult wolf. This is based on a 3-½ month old pup, which is the pups’ age in the first part of the Tower Fall episode. At this age, the pup’s body looks more like an adult, though with oversized ears and paws and gangly legs. The eyes have just changed from blue to yellow-gold. These pups are still dependent on their parents for food — but they’ll now begin to follow the adults on hunting trips and observe (though usually returning to the homesite before the hunt is over).Â

I found the most pretentious "Literate" roleplayers on WQ today oh my god "The herbal liniment with iota orchre unmasculine shuffled her pied mitts above the pebbled cosmos" I'M DEAD. Upon telling them it was ridiculous they were like "It's a literate RP" and I just left
thesaurus abuse doesn’t make u a better writer @ everybody ever
frankly i don’t even go for literate or script rps i just go with the flow until someone starts speaking in some way i don’t have the patience to understand
Developer’s Blog: What We Did This Week
Game development is a great job and a lot of fun, but not every day is brimming with excitement. Sometimes you get to make awesome new stuff, and sometimes you just keep the engines running. Here’s what this week looked like:

For ten years, wolves in WolfQuest have had it pretty hard: the only elk and moose to be found are full-grown adults, and even the weaker cows take a lot of work to bring down. In the real world, of course, wolves often seek out juveniles, who lack the skill and power to put up a good defense. That’ll change soon when we add juvenile prey to the game — later this year to the main game, and also to the Tower Fall expansion in early 2018.

Something New on the Menu: Mule deer!
Read all about it:Â http://wolfquest.org/bb/viewtopic.php?f=97&t=82880
A few weeks ago I wrote about how the WolfQuest codebase is ten years old now — and not coincidentally, so is our 3D wolf model. So we’ve been putting some work into it. We stripped it down, improved the mesh, and then rebuilt it with much better rig for higher fidelity animations. We also created a set of blendshapes, which allow better facial expressions, including snarling, sniffing, and even panting! And along the way, we made the eyes customizable, so players will be able to choose from 6-8 accurate colors for their wolf’s eyes!

By popular demand… Hydration!
Yes, the long drought is over! Wolves in WolfQuest will finally be able to take a drink of water, for a big boost to stamina and a small boost to health. This new action will be added to the existing game late this year, as well as the new episode.

Okay, opinion on all the "HeatRP" servers? Seriously wtf kids or at least I hope they are kids.
bad. lmao. as to why they exist, well, the question “why are these pubescent kids roleplaying awkward sex” kinda answers itself tbh
i’m more surprised by how, like, bad they are at hiding the fact that they’re explicitly breaking the rules. you think they’d be a little smarter about it. oh well, it makes reporting them all the easier
