Anyways hi. I am tumblr user word-problem posting. I post word problems here which may or may not be tangential to the content of posts. Historically I've sucked ass at being consistent, so expect periods of radio silence on my part. That being said, I will probably be more active if you send me posts you think would be good candidates for my gimmick, because actually finding good posts has been the hardest part of this whole thing.

I do work out all the problems I write to verify that they are solvable, but there's a very good chance I could have phrased something wrong or accidentally omitted a relevant number that makes solving the problem impossible with with the information I provide, so feel free to yell at me or whatever if that's the case.

I am theoretically working on an answer key, mostly as an excuse to brush up on my LaTeX.

I've finally decided to make an answer key.

This is the 69th word problem. I've constructed a monstrous document via LaTeX in order to make said answer key for all 69 extant questions, in addition to all future questions as well. From now on, I want to write out the answer to two problems for every new problem I make. That is to say that I answer 2 questions, and then ask another one.

a. After how many questions will I have caught up (which is to say that the number of questions asked is equal to the number of questions answered)?

b. Assuming that I do maintain my ideal 1 post per day routine, what date would I reach this point at? As of writing this, it is March 27, 2026.

c. Assuming that writing a question and solving a question both take approximately 30 minutes, how much cumulative time would I spend reaching the point where I have caught up to my posting?

"Luck" is an arbitrary unit I came up with just now. A clover with 1, 2, or 3 leaves provides 0 luck. A clover with 4 leaves provides 1 luck, a clover with 5 leaves provides 2 luck, a clover with 6 leaves provides 3 luck, and so on.
