Mobster Ivy is a very delicious concept, and I sincerely hope that she and Riddler will have an interesting dynamic that’s more of a struggle for power instead of a generic romance. There is no way that she would be his partner without there being some ulterior motive for her come onnnnn.

While the new Dc Super Hero Girls: High School Reunion was pretty skippable (It’s for very young kids so it’s not expected to be groundbreaking ofc), there is at least one thing valuable that came from it:

Gen 1 DCSHG Harlivy is now canon!

They live together and seem to have been in a relationship since at least their senior year of high school (evidence: them holding hands at graduation and Ivy’s message in Harley’s yearbook).

Btw this comic focuses on mostly just Harley because it attempts to explore her feelings of inadequacy after graduation. Her problem is that she can’t help but compare herself to her peers who are already successful while she is still making her way towards her own goals (psychiatry). Ivy is unfortunately limited to a supporting role but that is to be expected since books like these tend to give the main characters the most shine.

i dont think the serum ivy gave harley is all-purpose nor infallible but i do think harley likes pretending it is so she can annoy ivy about it on the 1 day per year that she has mild cold symptoms

hour 3 of a gently sore throat and sniffles indistinguishable from a gentle pollen allergy and she emails ivy (who recently finally gave up on her thirdhand early-2010s-model nokia - numpad no longer had numbers, screen would flicker and go out randomly, speakers were so fucked that all audio sounded like an old man coughing loudly in his grandchild's dance recital, could not load pictures anymore - and went back to exclusively communicating long-distance through email via her equally if not more ancient brick of a laptop that she uses mostly for accessing her small collection of 64gb flashdrives (mostly containing saved articles and studies from several research magazines she has completely legitimate subscriptions to but also blackmail material on most everyone she knows and faked legal documents) and for looking at hobbyist botany forum pages) hey welcome back. harley emails ivy an mp4 of herself like hacking into the mic bundled up in blankets as if she's dying going Wow Red... You know... I really thought there was HACK COUGH HACK there was somethin special about that stuff you gave me... somethin meant to keep me safe... I feel real bad Red COUGH COUGH. LOUD PHLEGMY GAGGING NOISE Look what science has done for me huh... I'm just like every other nasty little human... [camera flips around so its aimed at harley's feet so you can see she brought an actual rock into her apartment to kick sadly around on video but she keeps kicking it too hard and it goes into like a whole other room every time so she has to keep jogging after it and on the third kick she misses and jams her toe into the wall and screams].
