Truth
So true...
"I've wondered why it took us so long to catch on. We saw it, and yet we didn't see it. Or rather we were trained not to see it. Conned perhaps into thinking that the real action was metropolitan and all this was just boring hinterland. It was a puzzling thing. The truth knocks on the door and you say, "Go away. I'm looking for the truth." And so it goes away. Puzzling." -Robert M. Pirsig

Honest support doesn’t need to be bought with an all expenses paid vacation and a biased education; What else is there to give when all we have is our frustration? How can we stand up to this well-bought out community; How will they look past the screen and see what they do to me; There’s more truth than anyone could hope for you to know; But you will never see it because the truth is what you sow. Truth doesn’t need to be bought with an all expenses paid vacation and a biased education; Why does our defense look like our retaliation? Because all the right people have all the wrong information; When you kill to keep the truth under wraps you kill a generation. A generation brainwashed with great dedication; The youth take a trip and after think that there should be no other nation; Raise your hands high—hail to your leader! Follow together row by row, earn your respect after your Seder. Wear your superiority high upon your chest; Don’t forget to point the gun when they stand up to your test; Give them games to make them suffer under your regime; Hail to your leader—hail to your beliefs supreme. You are the purest race—pay your way to glory; Enlist your youth one by one, start them on your story; Require that they fight to keep your story straight; Kill the lesser second class, all the land was promised to you, it was fate. Spread your righteous conquest, dominate all other nations; Kill those in your way but politics make your concentrations; It is under strong voice and strong message you will disguise; That you, loved leader, killed millions through strong ties.
Will I Know
I hate her,
With an indescribable fueling passion.
Every waking moment is filled with dreams,
Thoughts,
Of her being in pain,
Suffering,
Yet, bringing me happiness,
All in the same moment.
But how is this a cruel thought,
When I only repay her in mind,
What she so generously,
Bluntly,
Tells me of myself.
She embodies her anger,
In a tantrum of the mind,
Yet shares it with no fret,
Only hitting,
Beating,
My mind and soul,
Will do her justice.
Yet, with her frustration,
That she immediately points her finger in my direction,
In her eyes I see a flicker,
A glimmer of anger,
She needs a mirror to condemn.
Will I become the very person I despise?,
Will her yells echo inside of me,
And travel through every inch of my brain until it somehow convinces a certain thought of familiarity.
I will become the center of hypocrisy,
If I cry in pain of my own yells,
If these screeches show a mirror reflection of myself,
I wonder with utter confusion.
To now condemn myself which will be more appropriate,
A portrait,
Or a mirror?,
And with a mirror in my sweaty tired palms,
Will I know who sits there,
With confusion in his eyes?
