Just saw this... what a horrifying fact 😳 Suddenly the boyfriends new coffee machine doesn’t seem so wonderful, especially when I’ve seen the amount of pods he uses! Does anyone know any eco friendly alternative?!

Confession
So, here goes.
I am a huge waster...
I’ve got a good job, a nice home, a lovely boyfriend and a good life. I even work for a nature conservation charity! However my level of waste is not that of a good person. Santa definitely shouldn’t be coming to me; I print things at work for the sake of it. I always seem to be shopping, and the day before the bin men come our front garden looks like landfill itself (particularly if our four legged friends have had a good rummage).
But it stops here...
A visit from a more environmentally minded friend and colleague first made me aware that glitter is filling our oceans. I didn’t think much of it at the time (i even had a friend over to make our own christmas cards the following week, complete with lots of glitter which is still floating around our dining table) however since then I’ve got the guilts. Ok, so i can’t promise i’m going to cut glitter out of my life (everyone needs some sparkle don’t they?) but i know there must be lots of very basic things i can do to cut down on my waste.
Surely, being this bad now, should make it lovely and simple?
Well, this is my method of accountability to you, world. I’ll post on here the things I learn about reducing waste and consumerism, embracing minimalism and the good things in life. Quality over quantity begins here. Wish me luck.
There is no such thing as 'away'. When we throw things 'away' they must go somewhere.
