              Cassandra nearly frowns at that. Reese is not THE FIRST patient of hers who pretends everything is fine when it’s the opposite; she can see right through the lie ( and even if she couldn’t, the injury alone speaks for itself ). “I’m a doctor, Reese. You’re not fine.” She puts a hand on her shoulder to prevent her from leaving, voice calm despite a sense of irritation.

              “And I might either treat you now; or use more resources than necessary when this, inevitably, gets worse. I’d say it’s your choice but – “ It’s Cassie’s, actually. Reese is not leaving the room until she gets better.

   “I’m fine-ish?” She tries. The burning in her breathing however, is telling a different story. She wants to hurry this up and leave the medbay so she can go sit down and focus on it herself - or not focus on it and wait for it to go away. It would. Her injuries always do. Eventually. “I’m not being stupid or anything - I just know how my body works.” Which was pain, until no pain. Sounds healthy.

    Okay well. Maybe Cassandra had a point there. If this got worse, which again, it might not, then it’d be more of a hindrance for everyone else. So she sighed -an act that also caused pain - and nodded her head. “Alright, since I apparently have no choice in the matter. Fix me, Doc. I don’t think you’ll have enough time for that though.”
