Introduction post!
Hi, I'm Micah... ąŖāā“ ā”
Also, "stay home if you don't want to be murdered by the government" is not something said by people who value freedom.
my futile wish is for people to understand that "sex scenes in movies/TV don't have to serve the plot and can genuinely just be for pleasure" and "sex-repulsed people are allowed to complain about how rare it is for media made for adults like them to be something they can enjoy completely" are both true statements. unfortunately society hates both sex and people who don't like sex, so everyone gets far too defensive about any sex or lack thereof in fiction to actually have this conversation
its crazy how using your chosen name & pronouns feels so Not Allowed when youre used to having to use your legal name for everything. like all i do is go to work and go to doctors so writing an artist bio using my correct information is like, Is This Allowed?? Is This Allowed??? it straight up feels like being an unsupervised kid eating gummy worms for breakfast & waiting for someone to come tell you to knock it off
Being asexual and racist is embarassing as fuck. Being racist at all is obviously embarassing as fuck but the amount of racism and especially antiblackness i have been seeing from asexuals recently is obscene.
One of the only asexual activists is Yasmin Benoit, a Black woman. She has raised so much awareness for the community. She was the first asexual person to lead Pride in London, she started the #thisiswhatasexuallookslike movement and is THE leading voice for the community.
And you all will celebrate international asexuality day on April 6th but we wouldn't even have that if she hadn't cofounded it.
Edit: why are you all too scared to repost this. Cmon. Be vocal about being against racism
Edit 2: if you feel the need to announce in the comments that you're not reblogging for whatever reason just know that I genuinely do not care.
But also know that I will look through your account and if I notice that youre actively a racist or you just dont reblog stuff about that I will ridicule you in a reblog. Idc idc. Not reblogging is fine but if you feel the need ti announce it youre annoying asf.
Edit 3: seeing as you guys need evidence that white queers are sometimes racist
Hi! šš I'm nonbinary character from show š I show up for 3 episodes in the entire season! everyone loves me for my confident attitude that has no depth behind it, and I get called they for 5 entire lines, and that's the extent of my identity being shown in the whole show! Isn't it cool how normalized being nonbinary is in this world, so much so that no characters ever have to be shown getting misgendered or questioning their gender, meaning everyone else gets to be assumed to be cis, except me, The Nonbinary One.
i think we need copyright reform. currently most works are protected by copyright for the life of the author plus 70 years. here are my two proposals.
18 years. this is enough time for the work to grow to adulthood and begin to care for itself
life of the author + zero years. i like this one because it encourages you to kill people
TIP: in the event of REALLY HIGH, you can HUMP ANOTHER GIRL like a PLUSHIE for like half an hour have the BEST ORGASM OF YOUR LIFE about it
I know we make jokes about the proverbial asexual pervert who has written hundreds of thousands of words of smut on ao3, but also shoutout to the aces who arenāt perverts. to the aces who skip the sex scenes and wince at sex jokes and awkwardly leave the conversation when your friends start talking about sex. your boundaries arenāt childish and fuck anyone who says otherwise.
Weāve all heard of masculinity in a peacock way, but Iād like to pose a new idea: femininity in an anglerfish way
SIMPLE GUIDE:
Body Horror: Things that cannot happen in real life. EX: The Thing, stomach mouths, eyes on hands, etc
Gore: Fresh injuries, often severe. EX: Severed leg, gutspill, deep gashes, etc
NEITHER: Healed injuries and burns, congenital differences, missing appendages, etc. If I could theoretically go to the store and see that character browsing the isles- It isn't body horror or gore. That's just a person. *AND the amount of people that tag, not just fictional characters, but real human beings as body horror is staggering. Its not solely a fandom issue, ableism and bigotry against anyone that looks sufficiently "different" is prevalent in real life and has devastating consequences.
(Modified) from my comment left on this post.
āhow do i get people interested in my ocsā TAG THEM. BY NAME. HAVE AN ORIGINAL CHARACTER TAG I CAN LOOK THROUGH. PLEADE. SOURCE TAG AND THEN INDIVIDUAL CHARACTER TAG. DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY TIMES I HAVE CLICKED THROUGH THREE DIFFERENT VARIATIONS OF ā#OCā ON SOMEONES BLOG TO GET THE FULL EXTENT OF THEIR ORIGINAL CHARACTER ART I REALLY WANT TO SEE. TOO MANY. THREE HUNDRED POSTS HIDDEN BECAUSE I WAS GOING THROUGH THE āORIGINAL CHARACTERā TAG AND NOT THE āOCSā TAG ON THEIR BLOG. YOU MUST DO THIS FOR ME.
I work with kids and sometimes we have to do safety lessons with them about like, not telling strangers on the internet your home address or something. And sometimes the kids wont understand why, so you have to impart upon them that, well, some adults want to hurt children. And thats kind of difficult to do, because you have to beat around the bush, both because you dont want to scare them (while still making them understand how serious it is) and because you might lose your job if you explain it too straight forward.
Luckily, for some reason, the villain of one of the most popular franchises with children for the last 10 years happens to be a serial child murderer. So when a kid asks why they shouldnt trust strangers, instead of hand wringing and humhawing my answer out, I can just say "we dont always know when a strange adult has good intentions with children, or when they are William Afton."
i think this captures the defining pathology of the collective social media psyche right now. we are in the thrall of people who are wantonly cruel but who also demand to be coddled at all times in every way
The older i get the more i understand why some people become obsessed with privacy, not because theyāre hiding something, but because being constantly perceived starts to feel spiritually exhausting.
