Today’s philosphical topic is on Transcendance, and Free Will.
Many of us spend much of our time in the past, rather than the future.
With thoughts arising such as.. Why did I do that? Why do things like that always happen to me?
But if the universe were re-wound, and we were all composed of the exact same atoms, born into the exact same nature, and nurtured in the exact same way, we would have done the exact same thing.
Who are we to question a boundless universe?
But question we must. For many answers exist.
Though with that in mind, we must understand- concepts such as Shame and Pride are futile.
Many CEO’s of large company’s make between 80 times what their employees make up to 260 times what their employees make.
What kind of ego is easily able to justify that the work they complete in one (usually shorter than their workers) day is worth equally as much as 80-260 of their employees?
It’s simple! They often got the privledge of being born into a very wealthy family to begin with, so resources were always common and with that enlists a set of nurture factors. They likely went to a high-tuition university and nurture factors enlisted there. They likely make the major decisions of the company, and are under the illusion that nobody could make these decisions nearly as well as they could. There could even be a couple codes in the genome that evoke a nature factor.
Let’s not lose focus here. We know that not all wealthy CEO’s had it easy, and there are exceptions. But people like this exist in every kind of job, and it is a very common case we see in our society.
Regardless, factors line up. Especially considering many of the fortune 500 CEO’s at the moment didn’t even start their own business, they inherited the business.
The life of a startup CEO is often much more challenging, and requires much more understanding and dedication. But that is a topic for another day.
Think about it all objectively: why wouldn’t an individual born into that family, nurtured their entire life for that purpose, who inherited the business from their family, be able to run that business?
These types of people often walk around with massive amounts of Pride, but are they truly that special? Couldn’t almost anyone born into that much opportunity do the job?
All conscious animals have a degree of free will; a degree of control over reality and events in existence. But our control, our range on this axis of life, is much more limited than we may imagine.
Let’s explore.. Shame for example.
Many people suffer from severe depression or PTSD. Many were born into broken families, born into war-torn countries, were emotionally or physically abused, or had no direction in their life of which to go other than advertisements.
These are types of people that also exist everywhere, it is getting more and more common.
They often feel shame for actions that they perform, wishing they could have done it better, often times angry at themselves for not doing better.
But they have basically no opportunity. All of that opportunity has been taken from them, and given to someone else.
This is the reality they were born into, and many other types of people born into that very same reality, would suffer from the very same conditions, and would perform the very same actions through time.
As we Transcend, we realize through logic, objectively; Neither Pride nor Shame are within reason.
There is barely even a self to be prideful of, motions of which world were much set in place.
There is barely even a self to be shameful of, of which blame can be traced back infinitely for generations without justice ever being achieved.
There really is no “I”, there is no “you”, there is no “they”, and there is no “them.” There are only forms and compositions of consciousness around us.
We have 300 Billion Neurons- if you remove X group you get a corresponding X(a) disease; if you remove Y group you get a corresponding Y(b) disease.
Which one of the groups of neurons is you? How many have to be removed before you are no longer you? and from which specific groups?
It may be no coincidence that in this Universe, you often have to sacrifice something to attain something great.
Feel free to discuss your thoughts :)
