You’re up again, Tumblr. 

Back in 2015 you demanded that the FCC adopt strict net neutrality rules and establish a free and open internet. And you won. 

That should’ve been the end of it. But apparently not.

The new head of the FCC wants to undo the net neutrality protections you fought so hard for.

His proposed changes open the door to your web traffic being slowed down, or even blocked altogether. You could be forced to pay extra to use your favorite apps. You could even be prevented from getting news from the sources you trust.

Title II protects consumers and democracy by ensuring all voices can be heard.

You know the drill. Here’s what to do:

The FCC is taking comments from the public, and dearfcc.org is making it as simple as possible for you to make your voice heard.

You’ll just need to provide a name, an address, and then say a little bit about why rolling back Title II protections is a bad idea. If you’re not quite sure what to write, here’s something to get you started:

I’m writing to urge you to keep our Open Internet rules based on Title II in place. Without them, we could lose the internet as we know it.

The proposed changes to FCC rules would allow fast lanes for sites that pay, and force everyone else into slow lanes. We’ve already seen access to streaming services like Netflix, popular games like League of Legends, and communication platforms like FaceTime slowed down, or even blocked. Conditions like this hurt businesses large and small, and penalize the users who patronize them. 

The changes also open the door to unfair taxes on internet users, and could also make it harder for blogs, nonprofits, artists, and others who can’t pay up to have their voices heard.

Please leave the existing net neutrality rules based on Title II in place.

after class A graduates, there will be times when they fight alongside their former teachers, and can you just imagine one night, after eraserhead and, say, deku finish catching a bunch of villains, and they’re waiting around for the cops to show up and arrest them, and there’s a civilian bystander just close enough to catch their conversation on their phone camera

and aizawa is scolding izuku for being such a reckless problem child and almost getting himself seriously injured

and izuku just rolls his eyes like “come on, don’t you think you’re overreacting a bit, dad?” and the way he says it is super sarcastic

and aizawa doesn’t look the least bit surprised, as if he’s used to his former students calling him dad (which he is)

and he opens his mouth to continue scolding his stupid reckless son, and the video ends there

and the next day, the person posts it online, and it immediately goes viral because eraserhead has always been a very aloof, very gruff, very unemotional hero so seeing this side of him is completely unprecedented and a lot of people think it’s really sweet

the rest of the hero world finds it kind of funny, and they tease aizawa about it quite a bit, and aizawa has a reputation to uphold, and he coldly shuts down any reporters who try to inquire about his relationship with his students

but his students are little shitheads who decide right then to refer to aizawa exclusively as dad/father/pops/old man/etc and aizawa can’t do anything about it because 1) they’re not in school any more so he can’t give them detention or ground them (not that that stops him from trying) and 2) he’s so completely wrapped around their fingers that he can’t bring himself to tell them to stop and 3) he lowkey loves it
