i love my grandma's way of think abt death, bc she doesn't think there's anything after death, but she's also incredibly upset that she'll never get to say 'i told you so' to Christians if she's right, but they'll get to do it if she's wrong

Why be afraid to die if we are never promised life to begin with.
We are given life, and we must decide what to do with it.
More time has passed in the universe without us in it, so why?
Why are we afraid to die, when we don’t even know what’s on the other side.
Our cells aggravated in this spot, bringing us to life.
So is death simply the dissolution of such cells?
The severing of our metaphysical energy from being tied to the physical realm,
Through the constraints of a mortal body.
Why are we afraid to die, when our life is only but a blink of the eye.
If we fear such things, maybe it is from our wasted lives.
Adorned with the regrets of all the things we wanted, but could not reach.
Longing for all the things we passed by when the opportunity appeared.
If we fear our death, when didn’t we cherish our life?

“When you die, the soul leaves. With the soul all worldly worry and pressure and care and fluffy pink clouds of candy at the fair‘oh god I’m going to die’ (the OS of your computer system), but your perception stays with your body (The hardware) and god how calm it is, how empty, you want to fall deeper into it, is this your real thoughts? are you even in control of your thoughts? was your brain program in control all along? It doesn’t matter. nothing matters. i am gone. i fade to black. No reboot this time. B l a c k c l o u d s o f c o m f o r t” -Anonymous
Smoke the cigarette. Drink the flame. Allow the sword to enter you. There is no murder, death cannot be an offering. You cannot be killed. You who are mortal, whose end is nobody’s experience but your own- Death belongs to you.

“My computer’s autocorrect changes the word Nagel to “Angel.” I might suggest “bagel.” I like consuming Nagel, but I don’t feel well afterwards, and I’ve almost certainly put on weight that will hang around for a lot longer than I might think.”
