for a second . . .  for a split second,  tatsuki is transfixed by what they've done.   her friend's question registers,  just barely,  in the back of their mind as they stare at orihime's squished face.   she's cute  ⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯  well,  orihime's always adorable,  but. but . . .  tatsuki's eyes trail down from the wide eyes staring at them in wonder,  down to her now   (  forcibly  )   pouting lips and.   they bluescreen for that split second and then,  with flushed cheeks,  reboot in time to reply to the question.    "  yeah.  yeah,  everything's fine.  "    they let go of orihime's cheeks,  sputtering out what could be an embarrassed cough at the red outline on her friend's face.

" ah! and here i was thinking that i had some food stuck to my lip or something." a sheepish look encapsulated exaggerated facial features ( for dramatic measure, of course ) whilst a hand of hers came to scratch at the back of her head. the young woman doesn't even notice the subtle rose that colors her friend's cheeks. for a moment would she let the silence settle between the two of them; not quite understanding why they had done such a thing, though, why should she question tatsuki? she trusted them with all of her heart! & some banter between friends did not need to be scrutinized. though, her hands sure felt soft — ah, she shouldn't think about that! "mmm, do you still wanna get a snack? thought about ice cream...it's a bit hot, isn't it?"

"oh, that sounds wonderful, matsumoto-san!" a faint blush due to excitement was evident on her cheeks. "i've also gotten you a little gift for your birthday...wait..." own hands were quickly stuffed into her bag, searching for the desired item. "tadaa~ a gift card for a nearby clothing store! with this, you can shop to your heart's content...well, at least until it's out of money."

                        amber irises turn to crescents as her gleeful smile reaches past her lips; the grip of her hands still tight as she continues to hold the overloaded basket. perhaps she should have brought less? no, it would be fine! slightly bewildered eyes blink at the older male as she hands him the very generous gift. “oh!” after all, this wouldn’t be the first time that she has spent some time over at the kurosaki estate & yet, it would still take the young woman by surprise. though, it was definitely a welcomed one. “ thank you, that sounds wonderful! ” shoes were quickly discarded before passing the entrance. “if you need help with the cooking, i’d love to help.” alas, it would be smarter to not let her get too close to the ingredients; who knows what the young woman’s mind found suitable in tonight’s dinner.

as he allows the girl to enter his home he places the basket aside on the table and guides orihime to the living room and hands her the tv remote. ichigo told him stories about orihime’s…“famous” cooking and he the moment she offered to help there’s no way isshin would allow a nice family dinner going to waste like that ever! so instead he’ll make sure to keep her busy with something else. have her relax.

“no no no! can’t do that at all! can’t let our lovely guest work more for the day!” he says. “you must be exhausted from a busy day! just make yourself home and relax and wait for my son to keep you some company eh eh.” he playfully nudges her as he makes his way to kitchen only for him to turn around and give her a thumbs up.

“let this old man handle tonight’s dinner!”

the young woman does not resist as she was being ushered into the living room; the remote plopped into her grasp while she held onto it with both hands. "eh?" though, a somewhat confused expression remained on her features. was it really that out of the question for her to help? she understood the basics of being nice to guests, though, would have never assumed that the kurosaki family was THAT strict on it. but who was she to question their habits? "oh, that is really kind. thank you, kurosaki-san!" gratitude was exchanged through both words & the subtle bow of her head.

"o-oh, um...yeah! i'll...i'll be watching tv then." without wasting another second of the man's time would she move towards the living area, descending upon the comfortable cushions of the couch. hopefully, he didn't notice the glaring crimson that dyed most of her face; even after all these years, she couldn't help but feel a little flustered. "okay!" own thoughts were reduced to nothingness as the male spoke up once more, leaving her to reciprocate the gesture in holding her thumb up as well. "but if you do need help, don't hesitate to ask me!"

" hm?" an almost inaudible sound of confusion leaves her lips whilst staring at the other; a dumbfounded expression persists for a few seconds before turning into a soft smile. it was her! she couldn't possibly be more overjoyed. "twatsuki-chan!" the name rendered almost incoherent due to her face being squished. "is everythin' okay?"

a soft smile tugged at the corners of her lips once she saw the familiar figure jump into view. "oh! rose, was it?" for a second she would fumble with the correct name; memories were hard to get a hold on as they seemed so scattered & disorganized at times. " i've been well, it's been much more peaceful, after all. so, i just had a lot of time to relax. oh, and study! " a small chuckle escaped her throat. " how have you been?"

okay, so an update on the whole beta editor situation, please read this if you're interested as i think this will be important for the state of the rpc (if xkit does not fix something.)

i've been in contact with staff to resolve the whole issue of not being able to use the legacy text editor (aka the "old" one which the majority of you probably use) properly, as it basically deletes my previous content & makes it un-reblog-able. i've gotten this answer in response to the ordeal:

so, at first i was obviously thinking that this "glitch" has not affected the staff's blog. however, then i went to see what they were talking about in the screenshot & the reblog looking seemingly "normal":

as you can see, this is definitely not "normal" & just shows my issue & that of many others in all of its glory. the post they wanted to reblog was my text promo, btw. so, what i conclude from this is that this "glitch" seems to be a new feature as tumblr staff recognizes it as "normal". i think this issue will affect all blogs in due time & we'll all need to prepare to use the beta editor from now on. it sucks as cutting posts can be a bit wonky at times, though, as long as xkit does not do anything: we're stuck with this.

hopefully, this brings some light to the situation & helps in some ways. ♥
