“I think it’s fair to say there were a few times we weren’t sure the band was going to carry on. Personally I’ve always wanted to be involved in the band, but touring for so long together leads to natural friction and that’s why there were suggestions after both those records that we might not carry on. There were times for some of us where we felt like we didn’t want to carry on any more, but Bloc Party is something I’ve always wanted to do.“
