Tonight, the sunset called to me, and I followed. As I sit where I ended up, legs curled beneath me, back pressed against a massive fir tree. I feel ready to let go. This place I was called to reminds me of family, summer days, the richness of chocolate birthday cake. It makes me feel nostalgic. Nostalgia, to me, means letting past memories become “what was” and remembering how to let “now” become enough. I rest, letting the cold chill me for the first time today, despite being outside all day. Watching the sunset, and hearing noisy machines whir, while planes roar overhead, I long for the quiet. I long to hear only wind rustling long grasses, and the thundering of horses hooves on hard dirt. I reminisce on dreams that once felt like home. I am finally ready for whatever shall become. 🌛 🌛 🌛#writing #cottagecore #wanderlust #manifestation (at Saint Edward State Park) https://www.instagram.com/p/CZnmESBp4zo/?utm_medium=tumblr
