Veita Svanasch, an Introduction

Hi, I'm really obsessed with my Warrior of Light OC right now, and a lot changed since the last time I made one of these, so it's time for a new one.

Veita Svanasch was born in Bozja, raised and educated in Garlemald, and fled to Eorzea at the age of 16 years old, arriving in her 18th year due to the length of the trip. A student of mathematics and aetherology, she was a quick study with arcanima, and soon established herself as a one-of-a-kind expert with it, publishing several papers on the study of arcanima throughout history. Though she has since branched out into a number of fields, Veita's early study of arcanima has informed her technique with everything else she's ever tried.

Born a few short years before the Bozja Incident, tragedy has been a constant companion in Veita's life, taking most everyone she's ever held dear. Still, though she is afraid to express it, she bears in her heart an endless love, for her comrades, for the star, and for everything in it.

As of the end of Dawntrail, Veita is 25 years old, and though she hasn't had the time she might have liked to learn to cope with her losses, she is trying her best every day, and will, one day, learn to open up again.

bringing this back because it's pride month and people are saying i'm trying to "divide the community." motherfucker everyone in the queer and trans communities shit on transfems all the time and you want me to act like there isn't already a division? no one gets to pretend like everything's okay when the people who are supposed to be our allies are transmisogynists. everyone is already biased against us. do you know how sickening it is to see random people in my fucking community so easily and readily go along with any accusation against transfems, no matter how absurd or unsubstantiated? do you know how sickening it is that the people i'm supposed to lean on are the ones painting us as predators and monsters and threats for no other reason than "the vibes were off"?

i'll stop being biased for transfems when there's no longer a need. i'll stop when people actually treat us like people and not some fucking underclass they unfortunately have to include. hell, it would be a leap forward for aspiring allies to even so much as acknowledge that we're treated this way, instead of living in a fantasy that we're doing just as well or unwell as anyone else. so long as the status quo continues, the community is already divided. try working with us instead of pretending we're making shit up if you want me to stop being a bitch about it.

what else do you call it when third spaces place curfews for when children are allowed in, when public squares hire cops and guards to boot out any kids they find for "loitering"; when arcades and theatres and entertainment spaces mandate ID checks regardless of if their content is age-inappropriate or not; when parks for kids are constantly sold off for more property development, when public transport is gutted and tickets are converted to card-only systems, when micromobility devices are progressively outlawed under the moral panic pretense of "youth hooliganism", when cash is phased out of retail such that children have no legal means of purchasing anything independently? what else do you call it when children are completely barred from sharing space with adults on the internet? if we earnestly believe that children are an oppressed class who require liberation then we must analyse these things using the same language that we analyse all other class dynamics
