Yesterday’s episode was excellent. I knew there wasn’t going to be a happier reunion for Wrecker and Hunter with Cross and I think that’s a good thing. There’s so much pain, hurt and guilt on both sides. Hunter doesn’t know everything Cross went through and Cross doesn’t know everything Hunter has been through.

Cross thought joining the Empire, being a good soldier was what he should be doing. It was all he knew, even though he had his brothers. So he latched onto the one thing that he knew from his creation.

I don’t think things will go back to the way they were before, but maybe that’s for the best. Maybe they just need to be. Be there for one another. Just having him back I believe is enough for all parties involved.

Hunter admits he’s made mistakes. Some that definitely involve Cross. On the same side we know Cross has made his own mistakes, bad ones. That doesn’t make him a cruel person, that just means he’s human. We all make mistakes. Sometimes ones we wish we could take back.

Cross has changed. And is still continuing to do so. He is listening to Omega, followed her lead when before he would have dismissed it. And then Batcher. He says he’s not a fan, but look at the way he pets her or doesn’t mind her presence.

There is a silent understanding between Cross and Hunter now. And I think we will see that continue to evolve.

Now I only ask that you don’t kill Cross off you people! I will be so pissed!

Practice, and millions of dollars of research into how to best do the job quickly without the risk of the tires falling off.

Racing slicks don't need to be balanced after being put on the car, they're more expensive per tire than some consumer cars are in total, and you pay for quality.

They don't check to see whether the tires need replacement, they just have a schedule to do so based on millions of hours of data on tire wear.

The car's body is designed to allow for rapid and stable lifting in a very specific way, and is completely overhauled after every race to guarantee it will keep working this way.

The pit crews train over and over in any conditions where the race isn't automatically cancelled (hot, cold, etc), drilling until they can do their parts with the same coordinated grace as professional dancers, if not more.

And, importantly, once the cars' top speed can no longer go any higher for safety reasons, all the focus goes to maximizing the time spent at that maximum speed. The technology of "go fast" capped out in most racing leagues a while back, more speed becomes too dangerous for human drivers. So all the money that used to go into "go fast" now goes into "don't stop as much."
