"I did not like to be touched, but it was a strange dislike. I did not like to be touched because I craved it too much. I wanted to be held very tight so I would not break."

You know originally democracy had this feature where if the government stopped representing the people we'd all get together and kill everyone in charge
some future career options i’m considering
hot librarian from a 90s movie who wears her wire-frame glasses on the tip of her nose
half-dead fruit tree
person holding a huge leafy potted plant in their arms while rushing abt in a big city
glamorous lady in an expensive-looking coat & burgundy beret staring tragically out the window of a train
chipped porcelain plate
person u meet & make polite conversation with while waiting for a concert to start and then never see again
girl that puts her hair up in a ponytail and swings her head a little harder than usual when walking
the friend of a friend of a friend
ikea shopper
teeny sparrow drinking from a puddle after a storm

i have been feeling really great recently !!!
april fools im dead inside
A woman gave birth to a raccoon, and a deity of chaos had a moment of growth by deciding not to flush it down a toilet.
my cousin saw a pug today
As the story goes, John Steinbeck was told by one of his professors that he would become an author when pigs fly, which is why he imprinted all of his published books with the symbol of a winged pig surrounded by the phrase “ad astra per alia porci” meaning “to the stars on the wings of a pig.”
It’s a satisfying tale of overcoming discouragement from a figure of authority, and the symbol of the Pigasus is itself a useful image of hope + humility (Steinbeck described himself as “a lumbering soul but trying to fly”) that I clearly resonate with to a fault.
However, there is an extra moral to the story, which I feel all the more keenly as the grandson, son, brother and nephew of teachers: he got the Latin wrong. The accurate phrase is “ad astra per ALAS porci,” which means that Steinbeck in his snarky revenge was demonstrating far and wide that he was a bad student after all – and thanks to his famous but inaccurate imprint, countless people are running around with tattoos which actually say “to the stars through other pigs.”
TL;DR: The more resentful you feel, the more important it is to proofread carefully.
you don’t need to accomplish things to be worthy or loved. you don’t need to change the world to be important. you have so much worth and hold so much value with or without achievements.
