I see people in the Supernatural fandom acting like the fandom will end with the show. But, that’s not how it works. How to Train Your Dragon, my main special interest, ended a while ago, but the fandom is still here and kicking. There are still people making art and fanfic and edits. Not as much as before, as some people have moved on, but a fandom as massive as Supernatural’s is not going to die overnight. Think of the Harry Potter fandom, or the Teen Wolf fandom, (both things I’m into, hence why I’m using them as examples) - still there after years of the source material being over. I promise you that a fandom as big as Supernatural’s is not going to just die out and fade to dust. You’re going to keep kicking long after the show is over, still finding new ways to enjoy it, new ways to create fan content. The show may be ending, but it is not the end of the fandom.

This white woman’s shocking account of police brutality reveals the importance of the #BlackLivesMatter movement
Molly Suzanna shared a story on Facebook that she had never told before: when she was 19, she ran a red light while crying, then was pulled over and forcefully removed and beaten by a police officer. She explains in the letter that she believes her situation would have been even worse had she been black — and she ends the letter with an important call to action.
The public needs to hear more stories like this as well.
Wow. This is horrifying.
Cops are drunk on power. Add any ism to that, you have a bunch of abusive, gun wielding, trained to kill, non empathetic, killers running around.
This woman got hauled out of a window, beaten, stripped, tortured, and humiliated, and she still is able to understand how white privilege saved her life.

Why the Reboots Sucked
Hello All! Many have been asking for my capstone paper on hegemonic masculinity in Abrams’ Star Trek. Well it just came through the final round of edits! I am proud to say that I received 100% on this assignment after working on it nonstop for the past 5 months. Click the link below to access it on OneDrive. If you need it a different way, send me message and we can work something out!

FULL WARNING: This a 34 page paper, which is A LOT. However, it is not comprehensive of every single moment or character which I could’ve analyzed. In fact, I had to sacrifice a lot to make this fit the page maximum.
The first half of my argument focuses on how they changed the male characters to embody hegemonic masculinity while the second half focuses on how they reinforce the subordination of women through their dress.
Thank you to all of you for your support! Especially @howvipdowegot2get for giving me one of my major sources!
For all those who offered suggestions on my posts: I’ve tagged you here so you can view the final product if you’d like!
