This week is a bit of a doozie. Hopefully in a good way. Stephanie and Jordyn brought their husbands in for a visit and it is absolute pandemonium. Editing this episode was nuts. 

We talk about all sorts of things, including the @amoebasisters, the best science YouTube channel out there. Check out their stuff if you’d like to know more about biology in a fun, easy to understand way. 

I probably cut out all our Trump ranting, but if there happens to be a reference to the “Sun god” that slipped through, we’re referring to him because he is obsessed with sunlight and we figured out why he’s so ridiculous, but the levels of sarcasm that emerge when we discuss him are not fit for public consumption so I took it out. Next month we’re going to be discussing Video Game stories with the guys, so hopefully you enjoy their addition to the group!

I can’t remember anything about this episode for some reason, I think I did too many things that day and blocked it out. I’m fairly certain there’s something related to writing though. Please enjoy! When my brain doesn’t feel like it is made of overcooked cauliflower I’ll fix this one. Apparently I accidentally deleted this post, so here it is again. 

This week’s episode isn’t super focused on writing, but we discuss a little bit of everything going on in our lives. From surviving quarantine with kids, working from home, Covid 19, and brainstorming buddies, to Dragon Age, glasses, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, and hangnails. We’ve got it all, folks. This is a bonus episode all about Covid-19 with some facts and information, as well as some info on how we are surviving. Overall we’re good, we’re introverts so we’re not really deviating from the norm. Camp NaNoWriMo is coming up on April 1st and it will be a great opportunity to get some writing done! Can’t promise my notes on this make much sense, it’s been a really bad week, thus the late posted episode. I’ll probably come back and make it better later, but this episode focuses on Neil Hilborn’s poem OCD and mental health and it’s a great listen. Unfortunately Kayla has an announcement to make at the end of the episode, she’s leaving us due to her own life stress, but hopefully we’ll find a way to make it work without her. Next week’s topic of discussion is Audiobooks.

Let’s talk about sex, baby! 

A good portion of the romance genre includes sex, so we have dedicated an entire episode to it. If you’d like to know how to write a good one, and hear some examples of ones so bad they won Literary Review’s Bad Sex in Fiction Award, this is the right episode for you. We hold nothing back in this episode, so it is for listeners over 18 years of age. 

Next week we return to our usual clean content. If you’d like more recommendations that aren’t so intense, let us know. Jordyn has compiled a much larger list since we recorded this episode and would love to share if you’d like some suggestions.

February is Romance month, and we're preparing for Valentine's day with a discussion on developing realistic chemistry and a bit of a closer look at some of the tropes in the genre. Many of the tropes delve into adult territory, like virginal women and sex in cars, so listeners be aware.
