our story is about a town, a small town, and the people who live in the town. from a distance, it presents itself like so many other small towns all over the world; safe, decent, innocent. get closer, though, and you start seeing the shadows underneath….guilt. innocence. good. evil. life. death. as the shadows around riverdale deepened, the lines that separated these polar opposites blurred and distorted. // JUGHEAD JONES as told by lux

“banana chocolate chip.” alice states, as she sets the pan on the counter. a cooling rack sits next to it, and she carefully scoops the muffins out of the tin and onto the rack. however, his next words are what take her off guard. that he wants to talk to her, get to know her. an effort that not many people would dare to make.
a glance over her shoulder towards the fidgeting boy. clearly, if he was willing to go this far, he had an interest in her daughter. she’d definitely be speaking to hal about this later. not in a bad way, of course. but he would likely want to know. “alright… i’m listening.” the last muffin is placed down, and once the tin is in the sink, she pulls off her oven mitts, and leans against the counter. “what exactly do you want to know, jughead ??”
“those sound good.” a nod in the direction of the muffins is given, quick - but thoughtful. he wasn’t going to pay much mind to it despite the rumble in his stomach. the constant hunger that never seemed to pass despite even the most stressful and inappropriate of situations. taking a seat at the table, he clears his throat once more -- WILLING himself to speak.
“right -- nothing too crazy i guess. would it be possible to have you, your husband and betty over for a meal?” perhaps desperate --- PERHAPS STUPID;; he was wanting to do anything now to prove himself, to prove that he wasn’t just some trash from the southside that was destined to folow the path of his father.
