Book editing is a roller coaster because how do I focus the same amount but some days I can edit 15 pages and some days I can only do 3?
Did those 3 pages have a lot more edits to do?

The Tyrant King summary
Here's the summary for a book I'm working on called The Tyrant King! It's a bittersweet historical fantasy fiction book with lgbt romances and a rollercoaster of feelings. I'm hoping to have it finished in February if not before.
"The King is a tyrant.
Ruling over his land with an iron fist, he allows his people to suffer, passing laws and enforcing them so the lower class stays where it is and starves while the rich men thrive and gather more and more wealth and power.
The King is also sick.
Like his father before him, the King suffers a mysterious ailment that is untreatable and will take his life in only a matter of time. But, lucky for him, there exists a spell that can save his life, and all that's required is for another person who is deemed worthy to be present.
So the King sets out in search of one who is worthy for the spell, so his life may be spared.
But when he finally finds someone, will he be able to go through with the spell, or will he accept his fate?"
I need to redo this book's cover 😠but I'm waiting until I have time and then I'll get a new isbn to go with the new cover.
For now though, the old cover is available

I'm so bad at marketing my books 😂😠How in the world do other people do it?? How do they convince someone to read their book?
I will say I'm much better at "selling" in person than I am online, so maybe it's more of an issue with navigating social media than it is with anything else lol
I do still really enjoy the way these mini bookmarks turned out 📚

Cute, handmade baby blanket featuring adorable lions and a mustard yellow and pumpkin orange!Fabrics: cotton, fleeceSize: About 35 inches by
Handmade baby blanket listed on my family's small business website 😺 This one was super fun to make but it took awhile to cut out every square!
I'm trying to get our website out there more so we can leave Etsy and all of their fees and AI listings ðŸ˜ðŸ˜‚
Book editing goes well 📖
My first edit is almost done. This edit is the heaviest one, where I self edit for plot, story, structure and spelling. I add in explanations and more descriptions, take out unneeded scenes, shuffle chapters around as needed, and things like that.
The second edit has also been started, which is the first edit not done by me. This one looks for spelling and sees if things make sense or if there needs to be more explaining or scenes.
Next will be the third edit, the edit where I look at my editors notes and make fixes they had, as well as fix anything I see while going through.
Then a few more quicker edits for spelling and last minute checks!

You can buy my books here if you don't want to get them on Amazon!
The website is my family's small business website, where we make everything by hand 💖 We also sell my books and some art prints that go along with them 😸
I had a different book cover planned originally, but I changed it because it looked too illustrative and not enough like a cover, if that makes sense 😂
Here's a sample of the original cover!
I still hope to finish this piece and maybe turn it into an art print. But the book must get finished first, so we'll see when I get back around to this art.
My kitten is helping me work again today 😂 she's a big help, as you can see.
Progress on the cover for my next book, a fantasy YA adventure with magic, Gods, found family and more!
The book will have interior artwork, a glossary of terms and locations, a village map, and a glossary of all the gods and who they are.
I can't wait to share this one! Hopefully I can get it a bit more traction than some of my other books got 😂😅
Finally redownloaded Tumblr, so we'll give it a try! I've written more books since I was last here, and I'm back working on a new book after taking a bit of a break.
I can't wait to share more as my new book progresses!
I finally made some book samples, yay! Both of these are available on Amazon in paperback and kindle.

Alizer art ☆ done as a sketch that I colored over in krita
Alizer is a character from Cyborgs, a book series in progress that I'm working on. He's a bit of a hot head sometimes, and rushes into things without fully thinking them through, which can get him into trouble.
I don't have much info available for this series yet, but when I do I'll post some plot summaries and more info for the books characters here since I've been neglecting my tumblr for posting lol

Deymons summary:
"Moon doesn't know what she wants for her life. There's any number of things she could choose to be; a farmer like most of her small village is, a merchant who can travel and see any and everything, a baker or cook like her nest-parents, a shop worker, a Phoenix Guard who works to keep everyone safe from each other and Monsters that come into their kingdom from the Deadlands. There are so many things she could do. But none of them feel right to her. Then one day her friend Silver declares that he's going to the Middle Territory to join the Induction, the test to become a Protector. The Protectors, the highest group of warriors in the whole kingdom, working directly under and on the orders of the Cordivan, the leader of their kingdom. The Protectors do what the Phoenix Guard can't handle, and everyone applauds and relies them. And Silver wants to join them. And he wants Moon to join the Induction with him. Moon isn't sure she wants to be a Protector, but with no other real plans, she decides to join him in the Induction, hoping she'll find something she wants to do with her life while there. As the Induction begins and progresses, Moon discovers that, buried deep within the structure of the Protectors and their Cordivan, something isn't quite right. Something is pulling everyone's strings, playing them all as puppets, and Moon refuses to become one as well."
