Writing 5: pondering
Going outside
After a monumental shift in reality
And seeing the same flowers blooming there
As yesterday
chaotic muppets interview
These are the words of puppeteers who should not be up this early
Writing 4: the little moments
There is something
To the early morning
Yellow light
On light blue
Cool air
And streaks of clouds
Heat rising from the mug
Like everything has just begun
Writing 3: con mis amigos
Mis amigos y yo comemos Pizza. La musica es a todo volumen. Frank escribe en sus computadora. Yo sonrío. Es un día grande.
(pls point out any mistakes in the grammar/vocabs that you can find. Estoy nuevo y quiero aprender.)
Writing 2: five sentence stories
When Steve entered the kitchen, the fire had already claimed most of the room. He looked around, his fire extinguisher falling uselessly to the side. It was already too late. The smoke enveloped him, sharp tendrils sneaking up his nostrils, threatening to overtake his senses. His kitchen now, all gone.
How the 5 sentence story prompts work:
I have a randomizer document with a column for emotions, for items/nouns, and senses. (I spiced it up by adding a language too)
You roll for one emotion, three objects and one sense.
And then write a story using five sentences with that prompt, which is the main restriction.
(the goal is generally to try to evoke that emotion and focus on that sense)
I Don't remember where I got this from.
I looked at my previous files taht i did this on and it was apparently called "Scrap - five sentence stories" (which doesn't yield any results when I google it, sadly).
But it's been helping me with writer's block in the past. And I'm enjoying it now once again. To fiddle with words in a limited length of text.
Writing 1: poem (it turns out that's what my brain will allow past the wall of writer's block)
There is a hole in my chest
That I plastered over with dry wall.
A papermaché wall.
Blocking the pain.
And blocking the feelings.
Replastering it every day
Because I can't let the feelings through.
I can never be broken again
