It was a pleasant day, perfect almost, spent away from the bustling life in the city. A spontaneous decision made due to the need to unwind from a week filled with stacks of papers and cups of coffee.

Intertwined hands, splashing waves against the shore, hints of distant music and chatter, but most of all the sound of your laughter resounding through as you continue rambling about your week. If you ask San, that is what made this day almost perfect, the way your eyes twinkle as you recap the fun things you did throughout the week and the way your brows furrow when you remember something that annoyed you. 

"Everyone is partnered up already. Why are group projects even a thing at college?" you sighed. Looking around, you saw one person looking as troubled as you are. Choi San. He was popular among the students with his looks, but he was also the unapproachable type of popular.

It's not like you particularly dislike the guy but he intimidated the heck out of you. It might be because you rarely see him smile or that in the classes you two share, he is almost always sleeping. 

"No Y/N, this is for your grades too. He might not be as scary as you think. Let's not judge someone based on their appearance." giving yourself a pep talk, you stood up and walked towards his seat.

 "Uhh..Choi San? Do you want to partner up with me? I think everyone already has their partners decided." You asked trying not to cower from his gaze. 

San glanced at the handout and nodded "Alright L/N." he paused before smiling "Do you want to work on it today? I'm free after lunch."

You were surprised that it went well, okay you might have been biased towards him and may have been judging him, so seeing him smile and be friendly is such a relief. "Sure! Let's exchange numbers and meet up at the coffee shop near here to brainstorm." 

He hands you his phone "Here, put your number in and I'll message you."

Both of you meshed well together that the project was done way before the deadline and became friends just as fast. During your meetups, you both shared stories with each other and found common interests, like your love for music.

You also met his friends, seven more of his friends, and became close with them. Once, you told them of about the rumors of how San was thought to be working for a club because he would always come to class either looking grumpy or sleepy. They laughed it off and clarified that it might be because he was up gaming at night with them or that he was practicing for a new dance routine.

"Did you stay up late again?" San laughed seeing you trying to stay awake in your seat.

"I didn't plan to. I was watching this drama, but it was so interesting that I didn't realize it was past midnight already." You replied yawning a bit, trying to take notes. You may be sleepy but you're awake enough to have your wits with you to take notes.

"Here." San placed the canned coffee to your desk before looking at the front. "You need it more than I do." 

Smiling, you thanked him under your breath and took a sip of the coffee. "Thanks San. You saved me. Let's grab lunch together later. I'll treat you to some mean dessert." 

"San! I made it! I passed the interview!" You said as you pulled him into a tight hug. "I can't believe it!" 

San smiled genuinely happy for you as he wraps his arms around you "Congratulations! I knew that you'll ace it. This calls for a celebration! Come, let's go barbecue. It's my treat today."

"Oh?  Choi San! What's happening?" you laughed patting his back "Not that I'm complaining but what's with the sudden generosity?"

"What? You don't want it?" San asked laughing

"I want it. I want it. Come on, you dork. I hope you're fully prepared. I'm starving and I fully intend to enjoy the rare occasion that the Choi San is treating me to food." you both walked hand in hand towards the grill restaurant with bright smiles painted across your faces.

San smiled listening to your voice, almost entranced by it, and taking in every expression you make. 

"…you should have seen Wooyoung's expression! San? Are you listening?" a pout made its way to your face as you nudged him out of his thoughts.

"Sorry sorry." San laughed, patting your head. "I got lost in my thoughts."

"Did you even listen to what I was talking about? I was talking for a long time but apparently, I wasn't talking to anyone." You huffed, hitting his arm lightly. "Spill. What are you so thinking hard about?"

He grinned before running off as he shouts, "Last one to the shack pays for lunch!"

"Hey! No fair! San, you can't do that to me." gasping, you ran after him in a hurry tugging Wooyoung's hand with you. "Come on Woo! We cannot let him win!"

Wooyoung laughed, already used to both of your spontaneous competitions, running after San with you "Why are we even doing this?"

You grinned holding his hand tighter "Because it makes life fun? and well I don't want to lose to him."

"Well, it doesn't hurt to lose to him from time to time. He is the reason we got together, after all." Wooyoung smiled, lifting your interlocked hands up and kissing your knuckles.

San watched the two of you with a wry smile. It was almost perfect, if not for the small pang of pain in his heart. Sadly, it was not his hand you were holding but his best friend’s. The day would have been perfect except for that one little detail. You were in-love with his best friend. But he wouldn't change anything, if it means both of his favorite people in this world are beaming with bright smiles, he will hide his feelings. Like drawings on the sand getting washed up by the waves, he will cover it up with a smile and wish for both of your happiness. He will be content with just being by your side and supporting the two of you.

Ice cream Incident

The members were on VLIVE to hang out with fans before the fan meeting in the afternoon. They all had an icecream of their choice in hand as they share stories with Atiny to pass time. Minyoung, seated beside Jongho and Wooyoung, was so focused on what Hongjoong was saying that she didn't notice Wooyoung take a bit of her ice cream until it was too late. She gasped, looking at her hand with the cone to find it almost gone.

San who noticed what happened across the table laughed while Wooyoung munches on his loot. Minyoung kept quiet and started eating her icecream, suddenly feeling down.

Hongjoong noticed a flood of comments asking about Minyoung as fans saw what happened and the visible change of her mood was apparent even when she is far from the camera.

Hongjoong sighed turning to Wooyoung “Wooyoung-ah, what did you do now?”

“What?” Wooyoung looked around confused

San snickered bearing witness to all that happened. “He took a big bite out of Minyoung's icecream."

Jongho looked at Minyoung noticing her eyes getting teary “Oh no no. No crying. Young-ah... Should we buy another one?” he asked using his sleeve to tap on her lower eyes, as if to wipe the tears threatening to fall.

“Minyoung-ah, here you can have my icecream” Seonghwa offered the cone to the girl hoping it’ll cheer her up while shook her head finishing hers.

Wooyoung finally realizing that Minyoung wasn’t in the mood to play along with him and the severity of the situation he caused panicked, immediately going over to the girl rubbing his hands together begging for forgiveness. “I was kidding. Oh no. Please dont cry. I was just kidding around! Minyoung-ah. Don’t cry please. Oppa would buy you a new one. What do you want? I’ll run to the store and get it for you.”

Yeosang shook his head at his long-time friend as he thought his jokes finally went overboard. “Get her the same one and apologize to her.”

Fans were amused but also concerned why a seemingly harmless joke and a simple situation made Minyoung upset. Some were saying she was overreacting for a joke while others defend her by saying she is still young and something that seems simple to one person might impact another differently.

“It’s okay Wooyoung-oppa. No need to buy a new one.” Minyoung shook her head, blinking the tears in her eyes. Jongho looked at Wooyoung frowning a bit as if scolding the older guy for making Minyoung upset.

“Sorry. Here you can hit me and then I’ll get you new snacks.” Wooyoung turned Minyoung’s chair towards him as he crouched down offering his arm for the girl to hit. “Or...if you want you can have Jongho flick me on the forehead.” he winced a bit at the thought but gaining your forgiveness is his top priority right now. 

The live long forgotten by the members as they watched the scene before them, half amused that Wooyoung would even offer to get hit by Jongho and half curious how Minyoung would react. Minyoung shook her head and hugged Wooyoung instead and patted his arm motioning for him to go back to hi seat. Confused and concerned that the girl is still mad at him, he returned to his seat but kept on glancing at her.

Yunho who was seating beside him said loud enough for Wooyoung to hear him but soft enough to not be caught on the camera “You bad person. If you will be feeling this guilty then why did you do it?” Wooyoung whipped his head to Yunho’s direction to find him grinning teasingly.

“I didn’t know she wasn’t in the mood to joke around. If I knew, I wouldn’t have done it either.” Wooyoung argued back under his breathe

The rest of their live went by fast as everyone changed topics and directed the focus on the fan meeting that is happening later. Minyoung was still oddly quiet, her head leaning against Jongho’s arm while Wooyoung felt bad that he made her upset, wracked his brain on what he’ll do to cheer her up.

As soon they ended broadcast, Wooyoung immediately ran off with one mission in mind: Buy Minyoung snacks she likes and ask for her forgiveness. He wouldn’t consider the mission a success until she smiles and laughs along with him.

The rest of ATEEZ surprised at what happened chuckled before checking on the girl making sure she is doing okay.

“Bun, is everything okay?” Hongjoong approached the girl patting her head lightly.

“Mhm. I didn’t really mean to be upset. It’s just...it just happened.” Minyoung sighed rubbing her hands nervously “Sorry. I kinda ruined the live. I’m really fine though, oppa.” 

Hongjoong smiled reassuring the girl that she didn’t ruin anything “As long as you’re really feeling okay.”

Wooyoung came back with a bunch of strawberry-flavored snacks and just in time before they had to move to the hall where the fan meeting will happen. Minyoung’s seat is in between Wooyoung's and Jongho's so it was easier for him to hand the bag to her. 

“Minyoung-ah~ Here I bought you a lot of snacks. They’re all yours.” Wooyoung placed the bag on her lap, before taking his seat beside her glancing at her reaction. He wasn’t sure if the girl is still upset and he doesn’t want to risk anything by starting a conversation. Minyoung mumbled a thank you before opening the pack of pepero. She wasn’t really upset at Wooyoung anymore. She was more embarrassed that she reacted as she did, and infront of a camera with their fans bearing witness to the scene.

Noticing Wooyoung’s obvious glances, Minyoung giggled poking his cheek and placing a pepero stick on his mouth. “It’s okay oppa. I wasn’t really upset with you anymore.”

Wooyoung’s face lit up upon hearing that as he munched the snack fed to him. “Really? Am I forgiven now?” 

Nodding, Minyoung smiled and was surprised when Wooyoung enveloped her into a tight hug. “Sorry. I won’t do it anymore Minyoungie~” he said in a voice laced with slight aegyo, the girl only laughing and hugging him back

The rest of the members were relieved that the two made up before the event started. They really didn’t want to deal with a desparate Wooyoung trying to gain the attention of Minyoung, in addition to their busy schedule today.

Fans melted when they saw the interaction between Wooyoung and Minyoung, both on the event itself and people who saw clips on the internet.

Full disclosure. This was going to be a really short post like a drabble or chat type of post at first around less than 500 words then somehow this turned into a 1000+ words post before I knew it. HAHA I also originally wanted to use San as the member who ate the ice cream as this was inspired by their actual live before where Seonghwa just looked to the camera in disbelief when San took a bite out of his ice cream lol

I’ll probably take it slow with the Kingdom updates to avoid spoiling anyone since I tend to write the reactions of the groups for the performance and just adding on to them.

"Jagi, I know you want something from me but I won't know unless you tell me. And no, not even when you stare hard at me" Eunkwang said as he finally had enough of having you stare at him for 15 minutes.

"You're going to film Kingdom right?" he nodded urging you to continue, unsure of what you're going for "and you'll film and meet with other groups..right?"

"Okay spill. Who do you want? Do you want something signed or what?" He chuckled, taking your hands in his, knowing your fan tendencies after walking in on you while you're watching music videos on youtube when you first moved in together.

You blushed that your boyfriend found out but shrugged it off because you doubt you'd get another chance to ask. "So I've been listening to this group-"

"Jagi just tell me who." he said laughing

"Stray Kids' Chan. Can you like..get me his sign or something?"

He chuckled finding your reaction cute. "You better make it up to me, I'm not letting my jagi be swayed by someone else. You're lucky I'm a supportive boyfriend." he said jokingly, still amused by the situation

"You're the best!" You exclaimed hugging him tight smiling brightly "The" kiss "best" kiss "boyfriend" kiss "in" kiss "the" kiss "world!" placing a kiss on his lips after every word.

He laughed while enclosing you in his arms "If I knew you'd be this affectionate, I'd have asked you what you wanted earlier. So will I get something more if I get them all to sign? Like more" grinning as he wiggled his eyebrows emphasizing the word more.

"Yah. But..." you paused considering the offer "if you could get them to do that then, I'll do what you want for a day?"

"No takebacks Y/N"

Kingdom -  Sports Day

Minyoung’s Outfit

Today, the groups participating in Kingdom were told that they will be competing in the groups that they will be collaborating with for the No Limit stage. ATEEZ were confident in their athletic abilities but they also know that the other groups also have members who are athletic, especially BTOB who have Minhyuk who won medals in ISAC.

Minyoung brought out her self-made cheer banners for every group, taking it upon herself to be their cheerleader since she cannot participate in most group games. She wrote individual groups names and the Collab Team names on the banners.

"Our princess has betrayed us." Hongjoong feigned a hurt look over his face noticing the cameras zooming on him when Minyoung could be seen cheering for The-i-9 team when they entered the field.

"I'll cheer for everyone! There's no discrimination here!" Minyoung joked sticking her tongue out to her leader before waving the banner containing SF9's name. "Sepgu hwaiting!"

"You're cheering for everyone today? Not just Chani?" Dawon called out grinning

"Of course, I'll prioritize our Chanhee." clearing her throat before raising her banner up high "Kang Chanhee fighting!" with Chani laughing waving her off.

“Okay then 8 makes 1 team.” Hongjoong jokingly said making Minyoung pout and say “If you do that then I’ll ask the other groups to take me in!”

Stray Kids who were lined up beside them looked over the group laughing. Jisung waving her over “Young-ah, come here and perform <God’s Menu> with us.” as he jokingly did the du-du-du-du with Felix and I.N dancing a bit.

“That won’t happen. I’m keeping her.” Yunho placed an arm around Minyoung’s figure grinning “I happen to like having her around.”

The MCs noticing something happening with both groups called out to them. Wooyoung calling them out grinning “ATEEZ, what are you doing? We’re filming something here. Please focus.”

“We would but our Minyoung-ie is about to be taken away!” San shouted back, the other participants amused at what is happening

Wooyung stood up surprised “What? I leave you guys for a bit and this happens. What happened?”

“They’re kicking me out and Stray Kids is adopting me, thankfully.” Minyoung moved over to Stray Kids fitting right in with her clothes having a hint of pink.

“Oh! Welcome. We gained a new member. We’ll gladly take her Dovey.” Changbin laughed teasing Wooyoung as the latter pointed at their female member “Yah! Park Minyoung!”

Eunkwang joining on the teasing raised his hands and said “We’ll also be glad to take her in. That will bring our average age down a bit.” evoking laughter from everyone.

(VAULT)

Minyoung cheered on everyone waving her banners around as the The-i-9 attempted the vaults. Yunho laughed when he saw the girl near BTOB’s table, tapping on Seonghwa’s shoulder to point it out. “Where is she going?”

“Minyoung-ah, stop invading other people’s tables.” San called out to her as she fired back “They’re not other people! They’re our teammates and we’re one team!” making the rest of Mayfly look at her laughing.

“Alice, come and join us here!” Felix waved her over to which she happily skipped over and hang out with them.

“This kid. Wait where’s Jongho?” Hongjoong looked around and saw Jongho already at Stray Kids’ table too

Yeosang chuckled “Our youngest members are all grown-up. They’re already making friends on their own.” As the rest of the members watch as the two youngest play around with the others.

When it was time for Chani to attempt the vault, Minyoung screamed waving her banner excitedly. “Kang Chanhee, fighting!”

"Minyoung-ssi won't you also cheer for the other participants? You shouldn't play favorites." MC Changmin asked, teasing the younger girl

“Oh. But I’m not close with anyone else.” Minyoung mumbled making the older male laugh.

Minyoung returned back to ATEEZ’ table after a long while sitting down beside Seonghwa who gave her a water bottle. “You should take care of your throat. You’ve been cheering since we started.”

“Ah yes. Thanks mom.” Minyoung giggled while Seonghwa shook his head already used to it

“Waah. THE BOYZ is full of good looking people.” Yunho commented as he watched them all attempt the vault

“ATEEZ is also full of good looking people oppa!” Minyoung countered nodding seriously making the members laugh

“What? We also have good looking members! Don’t think otherwise.” Minyoung continued as she returned her focus on the activity

“What is this? You’re praising us now?” Hongjoong laughed, shaking his head a bit

“I’m just saying the truth.” Minyoung shrugged smiling a bit

“But you told us we looked weird. Remember that?” San fired back grinning

“Ahh. That’s different. I’m the only one that can criticize our members. Other people don’t have that privilege.” Minyoung laughed and puffed her chest out as if proud of it “I can say those things because I do it out of love.” at this the members pretended to gag before laughing

When it was ATEEZ's turn to challenge the vault, Minyoung did light stretches before standing next to the vault. "Omo. Hongjoong-oppa what do we do?" Minyoung shouted making everyone laugh.

"She says that but watch her clear it with ease." Yunho chuckled

"Oh it seems like Athlete Minyoung would attempt next." MC Changmin announced as he saw the girl walk over to the starting line

"I'm assuming she's going to do well as she's a main dancer of ATEEZ." Eunkwang commented

"Alice is scared of heights though." Felix noted making Jisung scoff a bit hearing his remark "But she's competitive. I bet she won't even care until after the fact. She's been doing stunts with ATEEZ but I wonder why she still gets so scared."

"Maybe because when she does stunts for their choreography, she knows how she'll land?"

“Minyoung Challenge!” Minyoung shouted as she ran and made it over the vault easily, surprised at herself. “Omo! How come?” she asked aloud making ATEEZ laugh

“How come you made it over?” San laughed patting her back as 6 of 8 members pass.

As they were watching THE BOYZ challenge San commented on Juyeon’s challenge “Having the hood on was so cool. We should have worn hoods too.”

“Oppa, it would only be cool if you made it over.” Minyoung jabbed at the older male sticking her tongue out playfully, the latter reaching over pretending to flick her forehead.

For their second challenge at 1.8m, Wooyoung, Jongho, and Yunho already succeeded. The ones left were Minyoung and Hongjoong. Minyoung mumbled “I’m scared but I also don’t want our team to place last.”

Yeosang who was beside her laughed gaining the attention of the other members. “If you succeed in this attempt then you already did better than me, Young-ah. Besides, we can trust the three to do it well.”

“I know but I also don’t want to lose to our members.” Minyoung pouted as she walked towards the starting point to attempt. She ran as fast as she could and jumped making it over the vault, letting out a squeal as she flew over.

“Young-ah!” Jongho cheered immediately going over to her.

“See? I told you she would do well.” Jisung laughed raising a thumbs up towards the direction of ATEEZ.

When Hongjoong failed to make it over and hit the vault instead, all of ATEEZ ran towards him with Minyoung going over patting his back before teasing him “Our leader did well. It’s just our heights aren’t made for this kind of games.”

“You made it over though.” Yunho noted laughing

“Seriously this kid.” Hongjoong laughed poking her side as they all went back to their tent.

“Are you okay?” LeeKnow asked Hongjoong seeing as how he hit the vault

“The 10cm is a huge difference.” Hongjoong informed them as they’ll go next. Felix letting out a worried sigh.

“Felix you can do it! I even made it.” Minyoung cheered on her friend, San laughing making the girl look at him “If you say it like that then what happens to the people who failed to make it over.”

Minyoung gasped, defending herself quickly in a panic “Ah. I didn’t mean that. I just thought since Felix is more athletic that I am, he has a higher chance to make it over.”

The remaining members of ATEEZ all succeeded the 1.9m and moved on to the next level. Everyone was shocked when Minyoung cleared the 2m height, even she couldn’t believe she made it past it that when she landed she was wide-eyed, looking back towards the vault. ATEEZ let out a cheer in surprise as Wooyoung helped Minyoung out of the mat patting her back.

“You made it! Wah. Our Minyoung found her talent.” Yunho laughed sending a thumbs up towards her direction.

“Oppa what happened? Omo.” Minyoung jumped around excited that she made it over then gasped realizing that she has to try an even higher level.

When she attempted for the 2.2m, she wasn’t able to go over and instead was hanging on almost on top of the vault with half of her body on it. Realizing how high up she is, she continued to cling on the vault tightly “I’m scared! This is so high! Oppa help me.” she exclaimed making everyone laugh at how cute she’s being, while Wooyoung and Yunho made their way to help the girl down. The rest of the surviving Mayfly members also went over to steady the vault for the girl to come down.

“Just let go and jump down.” Wooyoung instructed her but she shook her head “Let go. I’ll catch you if needed.” Hearing this, Minyoung let go and true to his word, Wooyoung helped her up quickly patting her back. “You did great.”

As the three of them went back to their tent, Minyoung was holding unto Yunho as she limped slightly.

“Why? Why? What happened? Did you injure yourself?” Seonghwa immediately went over and helped the girl to sit down, worriedly checking her any injuries.

“I think I hit my knee on the vault during that last attempt.” Minyoung sighed as she shook her head “It doesn’t hurt that much but I think I won’t be able to join the other events.”

“Are you sure? You also hurt it last filming.” Jongho asked handing the girl a towel to wipe herself with

“Mhm! I don’t think I really hurt it. It’s just like stubbing your toe, just temporary.” Minyoung smiled laughing a bit. “I’m serious! If you don’t believe me then I’ll get it checked tomorrow.”

“I think that’s for the best. It’s better to be safe since you did injure it before and it might get serious if not treated properly.” Yeosang noted patting the girl’s head

"Wooyoung-oppa fighting!" Minyoung cheered as Wooyoung became the last representative for ATEEZ however, he also failed to make it over the vault for 2.30m.

"Omo. I knew it. I told you that there’s a catch when they took our photos this morning. Jongho-yah, I'm ruined." Minyoung said to the male beside her, covering her face in regret. "If I knew this was going to happen then I'd have put in more effort in how I look today."

"Yah. If you're going to say that then what about us?" Hongjoong laughed

"Have you seen everyone else? There's no way we're winning this. That's a miracle if it happens." Wooyoung motioned to the other photos posted on the board.

"Who should I vote for?" Minyoung looked through all the photos before turning to the staff "Can I please have these photos? I'll keep them as a souvenir. Maybe I'll have everyone sign them too." evoking laughter from the staff and a cheer from the girl when they said they’ll ask if she can have it after.

"I'm voting for Minhyuk-sunbaenim. As much as I want to vote for our team...lying is bad and voting should always be objective. Sorry our ATEEZ members. I love you all." Minyoung smiled before slipping in her ballot inside the box.

As the rest of the participants voted, some even voting for themselves citing that one should learn to love yourself first, some of them voting for Minyoung.

Stray Kids Jisung: I’m not saying this because I’m her friend but just judging by the photos, she looks good today.

SF9 Jaeyoon: I’m voting for Minyoung-ssi. Her photo stands out with her posing cutely.

THE BOYZ Kevin: She’s adorable and she cheers on every team sincerely. She even showed off her charms today.

THE BOYZ Hyunjae: Throughout their performances, it’s like having an on-off switch. She’s like a kid off-stage but as soon as they start their performances her charisma explodes that why I vote for her.

ATEEZ Yunho: Do I really need a reason? Our member’s pretty. *laughs*

When the results were announced, Minyoung couldn’t believe her ears when she heard her name called out together with Felix for the 2nd place both of them getting 5 votes each. She looked around pointing to herself confused.

“Me? Why?” Minyoung looked to her group members who were cheering for her.

“Minyoung-ah! You did it! ATEEZ present!” Wooyoung shouted making the others groups laugh

Yunho grinned going over to the girl patting her back and ushering her to go to the center.

“Did our members vote for me? Is this a love your own situation?” Minyoung asked outloud making the MCs laugh.

Yunhyeong looked at the cue sheet to see who voted for her before speaking into the microphone “There’s one ATEEZ member who voted for you.”

Yunho proudly raised his hand “I did! Minyoung-ah, be confident!”

“Yunho-oppa! This is why I like you.” Minyoung laughed before shooting hearts at him exageratting every movement.

Compliments calling her cute were heard in every group while Seonghwa covered his face embarassed for both his members.

“Mom! I’m on TV!” Minyoung posed cutely for the camera before laughing and facing the participants “I don’t know who voted for me but thank you. I’ll do my best to show more of my charms in the future as well.”

“Felix~ We’re twins from now on!” Minyoung declared to her friend making him laugh as they pose for the photo sharing the wreath.

“Aussie!” Chan cheered for the two clapping for them

As soon as she got back to her group, Minyoung looked at Seonghwa and asked jokingly “Does this mean you’re also 2nd place? I mean Atiny says we look alike.”

“Oh. That’s right.” Hongjoong who heard her agreed laughing as Seonghwa just blushed shaking his head.

Minyoung cheered loudly when Minhyuk got the 1st place for the visual ranking, surprising the other groups. “I voted for Minhyuk-sunbaenim.” ATEEZ just laughed shaking their heads used to Minyoung’s fan girl mode.

As the Mayfly team strategized who was going to play in the second event, Minyoung let out a giggle gaining the attention of their team.

“Why? Is something funny?” Eunkwang asked chuckling when the girl hid behind Yunho’s back suddenly conscious of everyone

“Ah. Nothing..it’s just we’re planning this seriously that it felt like this actually the competition and not the rounds.” Minyoung said her voice going softer as she talks

“What’s happening? You’re not like this Mintokki.” San laughed poking her side as the girl slapped his arm lightly, still hiding behind Yunho as she clutched on to his shirt

“Is Minyoung-ssi normally this shy?” Minhyuk asked looking at the girl

“No. Not at all. She’s far from shy.” Yunho answered quickly making everyone laugh.

“This is such a twist. I never knew Minyoung could also feel shy.” Jisung teased making the girl hide herself more pouting.

(Relay Race)

“ATEEZ fighting! I believe in you!” Minyoung shouted on top of her lungs as the runners take their place. The race went by quickly and turned to the last lap where Wooyoung ran as fast as he could overtaking everyone.

Both San and Minyoung were jumping in their tent holding ATEEZ’ flag up as they cheered for Wooyoung. “Wooyoung run!” “Oppa you can do it! I won’t call your hair, pudding anymore if you win!”

"I never knew Wooyoung was that athletic!" Changbin exclaimed as Wooyoung overtook Sangyeon and won first place in the relay.

"Jongho's still the most athletic out of everyone but Wooyoung-oppa is also up there in terms of athleticism." Minyoung said as if giving insider information.

"Don't let her fool you! If she weren't injured right now, she'll probably be the one running. Minyoungie is pretty competitive." San commented making the MCs laugh.

Minyoung pouted "I wanted to try too. Ahh why did I have to get injured. If I could've joined, I'm determined to at least be better than Hongjoong-oppa." at the mention of his name, Hongjoong's mouth dropped looking betrayed. "Yah!" the girl just laughing throwing a heart sign on her head towards her leader

“Good work today everyone” everyone clapped and bowed towards one another after the day’s activities.

Minyoung suddenly gasped remembering something. “Ah! I was given these by the staff.” She took out the polaroids from the voting before while the rest of the groups were surprised.

“Ah so that’s why the staff asked if it was okay for us if the polaroid were given..” Sangyeon laughed finally piecing together the information

“No! Minyoung-ah, let’s just take another photo. I’m not proud of how I look there.” Inseong shouted jokingly evoking laughter from everyone.

“Really? Then I’ll take you up on that!” Minyoung giggled holding her pinky up as if sealing a promise.

“Just be honest and say you want photos with Jaeyoon-sunbaenim and Minhyuk-sunbaenim.” Wooyoung started while Minyoung quickly slapped his arm, eyes-wide “Oppa!”

“Don’t forget Zuho-sunbaenim and Donghyuk-sunbaenim.” San grinned as the girl crouched down embarrassed. The males who were mentioned all looked surprised with some covering their faces feeling shy. Inseong elbowing Jaeyoon laughing knowing the male voted for her for the visual ranking.

“Ahh. Is that your type Minyoung-ssi?” MC Changming asked jokingly, the girl waving her arms around denying the allegations

“I think I see a pattern. I see a pattern.” Eunkwang laughed joining on the teasing. Minyoung just wanted to dig herself a hole and hide there as Jongho patted her back laughing.

Of doodles and friendship

This was long overdue 🤣 (belated) happy birthday @navihwa​ ! Thank you for supporting my work and sending messages 🥺💕 I hope you enjoy this read! I buzzer beat finished this before July ends so hopefully this will still count as a birthday present lol

I typed this out on my phone so please forgive the errors particularly typos, if any.

You couldn't help but let out a sigh as you stared at the podium in front of you. The headmaster has slipped into his speech regarding the school's glorious history as he would call it. You have lost count how many times you've heard the founding story and all the achievements of the graduates had as soon as they're working in society.

Looking around, there was only a handful students that were still listening to his speech. Most of the students were either dozing off, discreetly scrolling through the phones, or chatting in hushed voices with their friends.

You immediately tuned his speech off and felt your phone vibrate in your pocket. You took it out and saw that you received a message from your friend, Jongho.

>Jongho: You look grumpy. Hungry?

Scoffing a bit, you looked up and saw him looking at you with a grin. You hurriedly typed back your reply with a shake of your head.

>Y/N: I am so you better be careful that I don't mistake you for food and bite you.

>Y/N: Do we really have to listen to this story over and over again when we're busy as it is for the festival?

>Jongho: He'll be done in 5 minutes. I already memorized how long it takes for him to retell the story.

>Jongho: Do you want to grab food before we head back to class?

>Y/N: Are you suggesting we skip classes?

>Jongho: Did you forget? Mr. Kim isn't going to be around today. We have free study instead.

>Y/N: Oh. I didn't forgot. Sure if you're buying!

>Jongho: Remind me again when you paid for food when you're with me?

>Y/N: Yay! You're the best! This is why I like you.

Jongho should already be used to you throwing words like 'I like you' at him but it still surprises him every time evidenced by the rapid beating of his heart. He lets out a sigh knowing you didn't mean anything special by it. He has known you since kindergarten after all and you were the type of person who is naturally affectionate to people. His head knows that it just comes naturally for you but his heart speeds up with the hope you also share the same sentiments as he does for you.

"What you still haven't told them?" a chuckle was heard from his side making Jongho look up.

"Man, either Y/N is really oblivious or they already have someone else in mind. I guess you've been around each other so much that it's become a natural to be around together." Wooyoung laughed as he looked at his friend.

"Leave me alone." Jongho glared at him slightly

"It amuses me how you're like a puppy, loyal to their person. I can't believe it's been this way since Middle School." Wooyoung shrugged, grinning as he nudged and teased the male beside him "So what are you going to do if someone notices Y/N?"

As soon as the words left Wooyoung's mouth, he felt a harsher glare directed at him. He was pretty sure he would have been hit if they weren't supposed to look like they're listening to the speech. He raised his hands in surrender before saying "Hey, I'm not your rival. I'm just stating possibilities. Besides, I'd rather try my luck with the school's no.1 girl than be on your opposing side. I still value my life."

Jongho rolled his eyes before turning his head to look back at your form. Of course he wants you to know his feelings but he's worried that it'll make things awkward for the two of you. He'll definitely regret it if you two grew apart because he harbors romantic feelings but he also knows Wooyoung has a valid point. In fact, he has heard some first years voice voice out their admiration for you. The only thing keeping them from actually doing anything is that they thought you were dating Jongho.

As if feeling a gaze, you looked up and smiled at him. You hurriedly typed in your phone making him look at his.

>Y/N: Do you have time after class?

>Jongho: I don't have club today. Why?

>Y/N: Perfect! Can you come with me to the shopping district? I need to buy the ingredients later for dinner.

>Jongho: Dinner? You can just have dinner with us. I'm sure mom won't mind having you over. She's been asking why'd you haven't visited too.

>Y/N: Really? I don't want to impose on you. Although I don't want to pass up on Aunt's cooking.

>Jongho: Definitely. I'll tell her you're coming over then.

As soon as the bells signalling the end of class, Jongho hurriedly packed his bag to leave with you. Partly because he doesn't want to spend more time in the classroom but mostly because he doesn't want to bump into Wooyoung in the corridors and earn another round of teasing.

"Jongho, are you ready to go? What are you thinking of?" you asked smiling, waving your hand slightly to gain his attention.

"Oh sure. So mom said she's making kimchi stew tonight since you're coming over." Jongho tried to steer the conversation away.

"Really!? I feel bad visiting out of nowhere like this. We should drop by the bakeshop and maybe I can buy some pastries as a gift." you said excited to eat his mom's cooking after a while. When you were kids, it was a frequent thing for the two of you to suddenly have the other over for dinner but as you both got older, it happened less and less.

As the two of you were about to pass the gates, you heard your name being called."Y/N! Wait!"

Turning around, you saw Seonghwa running towards the both of you. Seonghwa, graduating student this year, was the head of the committee handling the registration of activities for the festival. He was also popular among the students not only for his appearance but for being friendly towards everyone.

As the representative for your class, you have met and talked with Seonghwa a number of times to discuss your class' participation. This is a fact Jongho knows but he was puzzled as to why the said senior is hurrying towards you and calling you on a first-name basis already. Were the two of you close?

"Ah Seonghwa-sunbae. Did you need me for something? Oh no. Is there a problem with the form I submitted?" you asked going over a list in your head.

Seonghwa chuckled as he shook his head. "No. You forgot this in the meeting room last time. Don't worry, I didn't read the contents inside. I just checked if there was a name so I could return it." He said as he handed you a notebook.

Gasping, you hurriedly took it from him with a hint of a blush. "Oh no. Thank you for finding it for me. I didn't even realize I left it behind."

Jongho raised a brow at your reaction. He wasn't sure how to interpret your reddened cheeks. Is this because of the male standing infront of you two or because of the notebook clutched between your arms?

"No worries. Although I'm surprised, I didn't take you as one who'll lose their stuff." Seonghwa chuckled patting your head before looking at Jongho as if finally noticing his presence. "Sorry, I must have been holding you two back. See you at the next meeting Y/N." he said waving before walking back inside the building.

"I didn't know you were close with Park Seonghwa-sunbaenim." Jongho said as if asking why.

"Mhm. I didn't know I'll get along with him either. He's like the idol of our school, you know?" You laughed as you quickly placed the notebook inside your bag.

"What's that?" Jongho asked pointing at your bag. He realizes that it's odd for him to be this curious but he can't help but ask, wanting to gauge if you were crushing on the senior, embarrassed that you left your stuff, or if there's something special in that notebook.

"Nothing special. Just..some things." You answered vaguely as you increased the speed of your walk and changing the topic "Does Aunt still like pastries with almonds? Maybe I should buy almond chocolate cake for her and some strawberry and chocolate slices for the rest."

"She does. You really don't have to buy anything. She's thrilled to have you over." he may not have gotten an answer he wanted but he decided to drop the topic for now and maybe ask you another time.

After dinner, you both went to Jongho's room to work on your homework together. Since you'll be home alone anyway, you figured that you could get more work done with two heads working on the questions. What you didn't expect is for Jongho to constantly look at you as if contemplating something.

"Jongho, what is it? You're going to burn a hole right through me with how you're staring." You asked laughing "if you're going to ask me to let you copy my work then the answer is no. Work on it too!"

"Do you like guys him?" Jongho answered looking at you as he tapped his pen on his notebook

"Like who?" Confused and surprised by the sudden question, you frowned a bit and sat up straight

"Park Seonghwa"

You paused for a moment before answering with a shrug "No? I'd be lying if I say I don't find him attractive but he's not my type, I guess?"

"I didn't think you'd be interested in this kind of talk Jongho." laughing, you leaned on the table placing your elbows on top and propped your chin. "So what brought this about?"

"Nothing. Just asking." Jongho tried to dismiss the topic upon seeing your teasing grin. The last situation he wants now is for you to ask further but knowing you, there's no way you'd let this pass easily.

"No way! You looked like you were contemplating life or death since a while ago and you say it's nothing? There's no way you were just asking if it took you that long to ask me of all people. I'd understand if it was someone else but Jongho, we've known each other for so long!"

He lets out a light groan. You were correct in the sense that if were any other topic, he'd just straight up ask or tell you what was on his mind. But for all the years he has liked you, he hasn't seen any hint of you reciprocating his feelings. You say that you know him well but here you are, oblivious to the burning yet fluttering affection he has towards you.

"Oh! Do you need love advice? Okay who's the lucky person? Spill." you asked trying to sound as nonchalant as possible even if you're dying to know who Jongho likes.

Jongho rolls his eyes before replying "Me ask advice from you? and a love one at that? Where does the confidence come from? For your information, novels and dramas don't count as experience. Unless..do you actually like someone?"

"Hey! You can at least use those as references." pouting a bit as you crossed your arms against your chest, slightly huffing "and of course I like someone. I'm a human with emotions, you know?"

Jongho's eyes went wide for a second before he turned his attention towards his book that he has ignored for quite a while "Enough about this. Let's just finish this homework so I can walk you home already."

Frowning lightly at his sudden change and his tone, you sighed a bit before nodding. "You don't have to walk me home. My house is like a block away from here."

Glancing up a bit to check his expression before mumbling "Also, the person I like is impossible."

Jongho let out a sigh, feeling a bit guilty that you might have taken offense with his words. Although his heart dropped, knowing that you like someone else but he's been your friend for a long time and he guessed that's what he'll always be to you. "Is it impossible because they're already with someone or you just think that it is? Have you tried telling him?"

It is ironic that he is asking if you already confessed when he hasn't gotten the courage to do it himself.

Shaking your head, you hummed a bit as if thinking over your answer "Not yet. But I guess, it doesn't hurt to try and be honest and go for it right?"

"Yeah. Just make sure to confess to him when no one is around, I guess? Unless you want to be the talk of school for the next few weeks." Jongho shrugged, his eyes fixed on the book but the text wasn't registering in his brain.

"Huh? Why would I be the talk of town?" You asked confused

"If people knew you confessed to their idol, regardless of what the answer is, won't they gossip about it?" Jongho explained still not looking at you

Hearing this, you cannot stop the grin that painted your face "Wow. Jongho, I knew you were confident with yourself but-"

"You should do it quick though, they're going to be graduating soon so they'll be busy preparing for their exams. Wait. What did you say?" Jongho whipped his head to look at you suddenly confused

You couldn't hold back the laughter that escaped your lips as you realized what Jongho is talking about. "Silly. Unless you suddenly skipped grades then you're not going to be busy. We have the same workload."

Jongho was trying to form words but no sound came out of his lips, making him look like a gaping fish as he opened and closed them trying to wrap his head around the information. "So you don't like Seonghwa?"

Leaning in and flicking his forehead lightly "No. I told you he isn't my type. I like you, silly."

"But-"

"Oh. If you like someone else then don't worry about me. Just continue treating me as you do." You let out a laugh before continuing "I'll live so don't worry and unless you tell people then no one would gossip like you said."

Jongho suddenly knew that this was his chance to confess and it's probably the only time he'd have this boost of confidence. "I can't continue treating you as a friend though. Not after hearing about your feelings."

Your expression faltered for a second making Jongho panic and wave his hand around frantically "No no. It's not like that. I mean..what I want to say is..I like you. I have been feeling this way since middle school but I didn't want anything to change for the worse."

"Oh." hearing his confession made the two of you blush that would put red apples to a shame.

"Then what are you waiting for? Ask me out already or should I do it?" You bit your lip trying to contain your smile

Jongho chuckled "Let's date Y/N."

Both you and Jongho arrived together like any other day but the atmosphere between the two of you is different than usual.

"Finally! I thought I'd have to be the one to confess for you." you heard Jongho's friend Wooyoung call out when you bumped into him in the hallway.

"Shut up." Jongho tried to walk past him, tugging you along towards the classroom

"Oh! Y/N. I guess, you managed to confess?" surprised, both Jongho and you looked to see Seonghwa chuckling.

"Wait. I thought you didn't check!" you gasped in horror

I want to continue writing but in light of recent events, for those curious I'm referring to this, I'm taking a huge time off in trying to push myself to publish something. I still write in my free time. I don't know when or if they'll ever get posted.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the people who sent me messages and asks, reblogged, liked and followed me on this journey and account. Every one of you made my day every bit better and I cannot thank you enough for that.

But I need to find myself, find my happiness, and my way forward. This incident made me realize a lot of things and my emotions are spilling over. Sorry and again, thank you for your interaction with me as writingbeary.

I will still pop in here and who knows, might drop a story or something but I don't want anyone to get their hopes up and get tired of waiting for something even I don't know when it'll happen. But when I do, I'd be overjoyed to talk with everyone again.

Heyyy i wanted to know are you going to make more parts of the last Kingdom episode cause it ended on Ateez Performance, but didn't have the usual Minyoung reactions to the others and if ot is going to have another special stage (like you implied on the final part of the group performances [Move, Answer: Ode to Joy, Monster, Pretty Savage, etc]) it you're not it's okay, no problem.

oh! this one 👀 I was contemplating for a long time about this before I ended the Kingdom Arc.

I originally wanted to have a special stage for Minyoung haha! I even had a song list to choose from 😂 but I wasn't sure if I was just needlessly dragging the episodes for Kingdom which leads us to why I dropped the reactions for the other groups haha

I'm not sure how people reading think about it but when I tried reading back to my post particularly those Minyoung reactions, I got this feeling that people might find it boring and repetitive which is why I didn't make it. It wasn’t the first live that ATEEZ will do after they got out of quarantine and Mingi’s return from hiatus, but the members felt giddy at having a casual schedule like this together. It’s a space where they can be themselves while spending time with their fans and celebrating the fandom name, ATINY.

Hongjoong: *looks around* “Is everyone ready? We’re starting in 5 minutes.”

San: “I’m good, but will Mintokki really be alright? *looks at her worriedly*”

Hongjoong: “She was told to take it easy for the next few days at least. So, manager-hyung said that she should just stay at home but..”

San: “She insisted? *chuckles* that’s just like her though.”

Hongjoong: “Well we have that guy watching her like a hawk right now, so I doubt there’ll be a problem.”

Both shared a laugh as they watch the scene of Seonghwa hovering around Minyoung. Although the whole group was worried about her condition, she just smiled and played along with whatever it was that Yunho and Mingi was doing.

ATEEZ was busy preparing for their Japanese release and their planned Korean comeback. They might have been finished recording for most of the songs, but it doesn’t mean there’s no more changes to be done to both. They also had a collaboration with the popular singer and variety star, Kim Jongkook. The whole team including the PR team was scrambling to maintain the timeline they originally planned, which was pushed back a bit by their quarantine.

It might have been unexpected and a worrying situation to be in, but the members looked at it as an opportunity to get some rest after running at full capacity since last year for the year-end music awards. This is especially true for Minyoung who also had individual schedules on top of their group activities. It must have also been the reason why she rested a lot during their time away, mostly sleeping. So, it was a surprise to find out that her throat hasn’t been in it’s optimal condition and even more to find out that it has been bothering her since before they even promoted Fever Part 2.

Manager: “Minyoung-ah, the doctor said that you shouldn’t even be recording like this right?”

Minyoung: “*shakes head* I’m fine. I’ll follow the doctor’s advice and rest more and avoid food and drinks that can aggravate the situation. Can we please keep this from the other members?”

Manager: “You do know that they’ll be angry if you do right? *pats her head*”

Minyoung: “Mhm. But I don’t want to dampen their moods after we finally got back our sleeping princess, right? *laughs* I’m sure everyone including ATINY would want all 9 of us to promote together and maybe sing <Fireworks> together.”

Manager: “Fine. But I’m going to pull you out from activities if I think you’re hurting your recovery, okay?”

Minyoung: “Mhm. *smiles* That’s fine by me."

That was their conversation just two days before.

Now Minyoung is sitting on the floor of their practice room while the rest of the members surround her asking her questions left and right.

Jongho: “You hurt your throat since before our comeback?”

Hongjoong: “I’m sorry. I asked you to do a lot, not knowing your condition.”

Wooyoung: “And we fooled around too much *frowns* If you were hurting, you should have told us!”

Yeosang: “I can’t believe none of us noticed.”

Yunho: “Yeah. She was still the usual Minyoung *sighs*”

Minyoung stared at them unsure of what to make of the situation. She felt like she should explain something, but she doesn’t know what to even say.

Mingi: “Now now. Let’s hear what she wants to say first? She must have had her reasons.”

Seonghwa: “Minyoung-ah, were you worried we’ll get mad?”

Minyoung: “*nods* partly. But I thought I’d recover enough before we officially start our activities again. Oh! I am getting better. I’d be back to normal before our Japanese showcase.”

San: “And manager-hyung knows?”

Minyoung: “Mhm. But I told him not to tell anyone. I also didn’t want to take a break when it’s been so long since we promoted as a full group. *pouts* sorry.”

Hongjoong: “*sighs* then we’ll respect your wishes for now but-“

Minyoung: “-if I feel like it’s getting worse then I would willingly pull out of activities. I promised that with manager-oppa. Besides, I don’t want my journey with you guys to end just yet. *smiles*”

It was a usual sight of the members being chaotic during a live. But the fans noticed something amiss. Usually, Minyoung would be joining on in the chaos.

(During Yunho’s VLIVE)

[Do you talk with the other members while on quarantine? Who is the most talkative nowadays?] 

Yunho read out a comment and pondered for a bit before answering “We do talk a lot in our group chat if that’s what you’re asking. As to who is most talkative...I think Seonghwa-hyung, Wooyoung, and San are the most active. The rest of us just talk as usual.” 

[We haven’t heard from our Minyoung since your quarantine started. How is she?]

“Minyoung? She’s fine. She also doesn’t reply much these days to us.” Yunho said laughing “I think she’s been sleeping a lot lately. We think it’s the first time in a while she actually could sleep this much, although I heard that she’s been planning on going live soon too and hang out with ATINY.”

“Before our quarantine, Hongjoong-hyung, Minyoungie, and I filmed our CF with Pepsi. Have you all seen it yet?”

(During Wooyoung's VLIVE)

[Everyone had their lives except Hongjoong and Minyoung (excluding San and Mingi), do you know if they will also go live?]

"Hongjoong-hyung is planning to go sometime this week. I'm not sure with Minyoungie. She's been really quiet right?" Wooyoung laughs remembering how there were a lot of posts asking for the whereabouts of Minyoung and where did they keep her locked up.

"Oh but don't worry about our members. We're all doing well despite being in quarantine. We all want to meet ATINY together soon too."

[Can you please send Minyoung our message asking her to breathe on any of your accounts? When you were all packed with schedule, she posts something every day but now that you have free time, she hasn't been seen since.]

"Breathe? Ah!" Wooyoung laughed, almost wheezing when he read the comment. "She has been really inactive right? Oh! I can tell one update about her. She's been making these for us." He holds up his bracelets that Minyoung made for everyone in ATEEZ and their managers. "During our videocall last time with the members, she was busy making one for everyone. She also plans to give it to the groups from Kingdom. Don't worry about her! She's fine and still energetic!"

(During Jongho's VLIVE)

[Jongho can you please update us too about Minyoung?]

"Youngie? Why? Ahh because she hasn't posted? I'll tell her that everyone misses her." Jongho raised a thumbs up towards the camera.

"She's doing okay. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say anything other than that." Jongho laughs before continuing "She'll more likely to go live soon! I'll tell her about your request!"

(During Hongjoong's VLIVE)

[Everyone but Park Minyoung has been accounted for. We demand to know her status 😭😂]

[Is Minyoung stuck in the Pirate Universe? Is that why she isn't updating?]

Hongjoong laughed as he read through the comments on his live. Usually it would have been rude to talk about other members when it's a solo live but this apparently has been a running joke with ATINY ever since they started quarantine and Minyoung's apparent disappearance from their social media accounts.

"We didn't lock up Minyoung, everyone. She's as free as we are and yes, she has WiFi in her room." Hongjoong laughed as another set of comments with speculations poking fun at the situation

"I'll also pass along your concerns to her and maybe drag her out of her cave." Hongjoong chuckled as he moved on to another topic.

( During Yeosang's VLIVE)

[Please challenge Minyoung next!]

[Minyoung, we challenge you to go Live at least once within the week!]

Yeosang laughed at the comments. He was already aware as everyone has been exchanging stories during their individual lives that Minyoung is always getting brought up by the chat.

"Should we challenge Minyoung for the Sexy Back Challenge?" Yeosang asked trying to check chat's reaction and laughed when everyone was supporting the idea.

"Alright. Our Bunny, I challenge you to dance to Sexy Back. ATINY has been asking about you a lot so it's about time you go out of the cave." Yeosang grinned and chuckled to himself when he saw their group chat light up with a new message from Minyoung.

[Minyoung: Game on!]

Yeosang smiled mysteriously at the screen opting to keep it a secret that Minyoung was watching the live and she accepted the challenge.

(During the Group Live via Zoom Call)

[ATEEZ MINYOUNG has joined the call]

"Youngie! You're late!" Jongho greeted her as soon as she joins the call in the middle of the live and causing a flood of chat from the viewers that they could finally see Minyoung after over a week of radio silence from the girl.

"Sorry sorry. I fell asleep!" Minyoung used the camera as a mirror and tried to fix her hair. She wasn't wearing any makeup and she decided to pull her long brown and blonde hair up into a ponytail before greeting the viewers "Hello everyone! I'm sorry I was late. Uh..the signal is bad where I am." which prompted loud laughter from the members as she alluded to both her disappearance from social media and her current background which is a cave.

"Have you eaten, Young-ah?" Seonghwa asked as he tried to peer at her image on the screen

"Not yet oppa. I really just woke up from my nap a few minutes ago." Minyoung answered and looked as if she was setting up for a meal.

"Minyoung, you should probably explain why you weren't updating." Wooyoung grinned already knowing the reason, but he figured ATINY would be curious about it.

Minyoung pouted. "Are they saying that on chat?" She tried squinting at the screen reading some of the chat the flew quickly "Ahh. I was asleep most of the time?" She laughed awkwardly as she really did spend her quarantine eating and sleeping during the first few days. Then she got busy with bead accessory making then she started to paint some pieces.

"She was the sleeping beauty. It was even hard for us to contact her during the first few days. We only hear about her through our managers." Yunho explained and finished with laughter.

"I didn’t know we’d be calling each other that time and I really didn’t realize that my phone was ringing!” she exclaimed pouting bit as she waved her hand around “Oh and I couldn't go on a solo live because I broke my glasses. Even now, it’s hard to read through chat so I apologize in advance if I don’t interact as much." Minyoung added to her defense "I won't be able to read chat even if I went on."

"Did you still not get the replacement, Bun?" Hongjoong asked as he seemed to remember their manager saying it'll take around a week before her glasses arrive.

"Mhm. Not yet but it might arrive tomorrow so I can finally see again." Minyoung answered before taking a mouthful of her food.

"Everyone is saying you need to do Yeosang-hyung's challenge and update our account with the rest of the Kingdom photos." Jongho read the chat outloud for Minyoung

"Oh right! I forgot about the photos. I'll do that! As for the challenge, I'll do it on live next time. Once I get my glasses, I'm going on live the same day no matter what time." Minyoung promised staring at the screen.

“Minyoung-ah, keep it within boundaries of broadcast.” Wooyoung joked earning laughter from Yeosang and Yunho while a gasp was heard from Hongjoong, Seonghwa, and Jongho.

“Oppa! You make it sound like I’ll be doing something indecent. I can’t say for sure, but I at least know it’ll be on par with Yeosang-oppa’s.” Minyoung laughed as she shook her head a bit while she stuffs her cheeks full of food.

“You’re telling me our bunny is going to be doing that Sexy Back Challenge?” Yunho asked laughing as he pointed at the screen hinting at the two eldest members “and you’re also telling me they haven’t freaked out about this yet?”

“Yeah. ATINY was requesting for her and who am I to block their request, especially when it’s doable.” Yeosang shrugged “but I sure am looking forward to what you’ll do, Young-ah.”

“Minyoung-ah-“Seonghwa started only to be interrupted by Minyoung laughing “Don’t worry oppa! I won’t have a repeat of the performance evaluation dance. I mean even San-oppa and Wooyoung-oppa said that it was too much, so I’ll keep it below that standard.”

“That doesn’t make me any more reassured though.” Seonghwa sighed lightly making the 99z laugh

“I mean, who would expect you to suddenly dance to <Paradise Lost>? Even I was thrown aback that time.” Wooyoung laughed at the memory “The funny thing is though even our dance teacher was surprised you chose that song!”

“It was totally unexpected because she’s all bubbly and bouncy usually and then she chose that song. I head the teacher warned her after about it.” Yunho added as he took a huge bite of his meal

“I was scolded. They said I should choose songs appropriate for my age.” Minyoung said in between her bites which made her look like a hamster with cheeks stuffed. “but they said to prepare a female artist song and I thought I could probably show more range if I chose a sexy song instead of the bright songs.”

“Is that why you suddenly changed all your songs to be boygroup songs?” Yeosang asked

With a light nod, she answered “Mhm! Well part of it and I just really like the choreographies, so I tried learning them. Last time I was trying to learn Jessi-sunbaenim’s Nunu Nana. It’s not about whether it was a girl group or boy group dance. If I find the song interesting, then I try to learn the song.”

Hongjoong laughed watching the exchange “Still, to think you would choose a song that bold and you were like around 15? Everyone was just shocked to see you do that.”

Minyoung shrugged “They were the ones who told me to choose a feminine song.”

Wooyoung chuckled nodding, “I don’t think that’s what they meant though.”

I had this sitting in my drafts for so long haha! I wrote it while they were in quarantine and was updating it but stuff happened and I only just got around to formatting it. 

Again, stuff would look weird as my computer had to be sent back for repairs. It might be about time I look into buying a new one (after I save up some more haha)  😂
