Nixie's eyes widen as she stares at the other, realizing she had let that slip during her emotional ranting. "Oh, that's-that's nothing that is of any importance really." She lies, pulling her best fake smile that most people believed, but it falls quickly at the other's next words. "I'm sorry, you were a what before here?" Nixie questions with raised eyebrows. "I feel this situation has already passed by too long for any healing to be done, but thank you for the advice nonetheless, are you okay, though?"
"oh uh-- i didn't realize that was uncommon... i was a, um, ghost. i technically died i guess?" maddie shrugged, she hadn't known all of the mechanics behind it, but she knew that only simon could see her and that she could see other ghosts that stayed haunting the school. "i'm great. i'm better here. i actually have a decent life. everything was shitty before and now it isn't," she was sort of thankful to be here in sydney, even if it was different. it was a good different, minus not having a cell phone or anything.
Julie nodded at that, she could understand that. Getting your memories back in this place felt like a kick. It was rough, and it kind of made you hate that you were in this kind of place. “Oh wow. That had to be horrible, for you to think that you were dead and that you ended up up in a place like this. I know for me it was a culture shock and an over all shock about what was going on here. I couldn’t imagine being dead and coming here.” She admitted with a sigh. “I’m sorry about that. is your life in this place any better?”
"it wasn't so much that i had died where i actually am from, but getting my memories here had be thinking that i passed in my sleep or something. like, it wasn't a thing of me already being dead, just more like i was somehow ripped from my life... but to me, it felt like this was heaven or something just because it was different," monica was trying her best to explain herself, but sometimes her words tended to get a bit twisted. monica let out a soft sigh, running fingers through her hair. "i just hope that everybody i knew back then is safe."

“i hate to admit it, but i’m happy to see you too, jo,” lizzie told them with a similar smile returned. “this reminds me of a therapy box session. although i personally would have chosen a more stylish place and time to be sent in it.” she knew this wasn’t that though, because for once in her life, she actually had it together. she was happy and had her powers and emotions under control. no more outbursts. well, no more public outbursts. “do you want to explore? i mean, while we’re here it’ll probably be best if we explore and know this area.” she didn’t know how long her and josie would be there, but she was going to at least have a little bit of fun there. especially since the place had magic.
Josie hadn’t thought about that but it did kind of remind her of that now. A therapy box for a weird ass town. The only thing was there were strangers included in this box that she had never met. Usually everyone she knew would play a role. what kind of role would strangers play in her life? Josie nodded at the other and gave her sister a soft smile. “I think that might be a good idea, actually. I don’t know anything about this place and if something does pop off, at least we’ll know what to look out for…or where to hide” Josie knew that wasn’t the best method but hiding and staying alive was something she had become very good at.
“where to hide?” lizzie squinted at her twin before shrugging. “i suppose you may be onto something.” though she wasn’t one that enjoyed hiding. she liked to take action when things went wrong. “come on, jo,” lizzie said before taking lead for their exploring. she typically tried to take the lead out of everything her and josie did. she liked being the one in charge, even though over the years lizzie found that jo was more independent than she’d ever be. back then especially, the two had been codependent on one another, which caused a lot of issues between the two of them, especially with the prospect of the merge. it had always been said that josie was the stronger of the two, even if lizzie tried to present herself in that way.
apple's eyes widened as she looked at the other, frowning. "what just happened?" she asked, staring down at the other woman. it had all happened so fast that apple was confused as to what went down. she was still just confused why she was there. "do you need a help up?" apple questioned sweetly as she looked at her. she didn't want to offer a hand, but she felt bad seeing the girl on the ground. though she was the next snow white at one point, apple was actually pretty spoiled growing up. she got everything that she could ever want, all she had to do was bat her eyes and ask. it wasn't her fault though, she was promised a life of luxury and fame and it had all gone to her head.
.。.:*☆ "I fell, what do you think how it looks?" Jester was not sure if the young woman was serious with her question, or, well, just mocking her maybe. Both could be pretty much possible, after all.
"And, I am fine, I...." She moved all her limbs, wiggling her toes in her shoes and her fiongers to check if nothing was broken. Her pelvis did hurt, but that was most likely from falling and would get better again pretty soon. "I am fine. Nothing damaged expect my pride." With that, and, a groan, Jester got back up onto her feet. "Guess someone spilled something here, or whatever. Was all pretty slippery all of the sudden."
rude, apple thought as she glanced at the woman, narrowing her eyes. if only apple weren't such a kind person, she'd probably have a few choice words to say to her. "i hope you don't end up with a bruise. i've taken quite a bit of falls. i bruise easily though, so maybe you'll be fine," apple shrugged. "it looked rather embarrassing that you fell. if i were you, i'd be blushing in shame. you're strong," she smiled at the woman after the backhanded compliment.
“You’ve seen Louie around? That’s so fun! What about Huey?” Webby was happy that they were getting the old gang back together. At least, it seemed that they were. They just needed to locate the red wearing not-so-duckling! “Let’s go this way!” Webby began to march toward the direction she was talking about, taking the lead as Scrooge would back then. She loved Dewey - Webby adventures. Sure, they shouldn’t have snuck around behind the other triplets’ back when searching for clues about Della, but this was completely unrelated. There was no way they could include Louie or Huey, so it was up to her and Dewey to explore and try to remember everything they saw to tell the others later on! “Oh! Look at this!” She bent down toward a seemingly normal rock, squinting at it. “I bet this rock has magic!”
dewey let out a chuckle and shook his head. "nope, haven't seen huey around just yet. i'm sure he's out living in the woods or something," the blue wearing duck man shrugged. as webby began to lead the way, he followed her closely, keeping his eyes peeled in case there was trouble afoot anywhere. "uh, webby... i think that's just a regular rock. sorry to burst your bubble," he said as he kicked it gently as if to prove that it was a regular rock. "but i'm sure there's magical rocks here somewhere, let's try and look!"
rosetta blushed as she looked at the woman, nodding slowly. she was happy that she had said that she could wear her pink sundress. “cool, then i’ll wear that!” she exclaimed, grinning from ear to ear. “oh! there’s this diner that i like going to. it’s across town from here,” she said to thorn as she ran her fingers through her hair. she may have been flirting a little, but thorn sort of seemed like the perfect girl for her. she was sweet, funny, pretty. plus, didn’t eat meat! rosetta didn’t eat meat either!“
"sounds great!" thorn was actually excited about the prospect of getting dinner with rosetta. she didn't really date much due to being busy with her music, but it would be nice to try. if they weren't a good fit, at least she'd gain a new friend. that's how she saw it.
~~skip~~
thorn wore her performance attire to meet rosetta at the diner before the show. she spotted the woman instantly and made her way over. "hey, i'm glad you're still down for this," she said in a kind voice. thorn was happy to be there, happy that rosetta was attending her show. she just hoped the woman would enjoy the music she played. she typically wasn't this nervous, but rosetta was gorgeous and she didn't want to fuck it up.
“oh, yeah, hold on.” matt couldn’t really see where the napkins were, but he’d try his best. he reached out to the table and just got lucky when he found them sitting in the middle. he pulled a few and handed them to the other. he remembered a time when foggy spilled coffee on his nice dress shirt right before their first day in court. it was nothing that a few cleaning products couldn’t fix.
“excuse me, do you have dishsoap, vinegar, warm water. And a spray bottle?” it was a restaurant, sure enough they had what he had asked for. he measured out the ingredients into the bottle, shook it, and handed it to the lady. “i’ve been in that situation before. spray that on there a couple of times, dab it with your napkin, and you should be good to go.” she smiled.
apple took the napkins gratefully, staying as still as she could so that the stain wouldn't spread onto her outfit. she didn't need to have to get a new dress due to staining. "thank you," she said politely. when the bottle was handed to her, she did just as instructed, spraying the liquid on the stain before dabbing it with the napkin. "oh i just hate looking a mess in public. everything is all wrong when my outfit is ruined. " she informed him, staring down at the stain to try and make sure it was going away. "how'd you know the ingredients to help this?"

"it's lovely," amy commented as she looked at the painting, not processing that it was her sister asking. "i actually do a lot of art, this is a painting that rivals some of the great works." glancing over at the other woman, her eyes widened. "beth," her voice was soft, the last time she'd seen beth was before she'd gone off to europe with aunt march to study painting. "do you... recognize me?" she asked, voice barely above a whisper. she had gotten lucky that jo recognized her and was happy that she had been around. she'd missed her older sisters dearly.
Turning towards the other, her eyes light up a little as she smiles. "Do you? That's wonderful, I'd love to see a piece one day." Beth muses, honestly surprised at her own reaction, she wasn't this social most days but this woman felt familiar. At the mention of her name, she frowns and takes the smallest of steps back. "I-I'm sorry, do I know you?"
"oh," that answered amy's question. her older sister didn't seem to remember her. it caused her to feel a bit sad, but she kept a forced smile. "oh sorry, i guess maybe we don't know one another like i may have thought." she found it better to lie about it than try to force memories from the woman. "i'm amy," she said, holding her hand out to shake the other's. maybe they could develop a friendship and then amy could spill that they're sisters. if only jo were in here now, they could break the news together.
“i have nothing better to do tomorrow, lou, don’t worry. i literally live one of the most boring lives here. i wish scrooge were here because at least if our lives were boring, we’d be rich. don’t you think? boring and rich.” dewey didn’t necessarily want to be rich, but he did want to be famous, so those went hand in hand. huey had always tended to be the more book smart of the three, but dewey saw himself as the emotionally intelligent one. it worked out. the three ducklings triplets had each other to complete what the others lacked. it all balanced out in the end, he thought.
“i get what you mean, but are you going to sit here and tell me that huey is right in the head? no, i didn’t think so.” he’d once seen huey try to eat tree bark before. it wasn’t a pretty sight.
.。.:*☆ “Boring and rich is no fun either, and you and me both know that, Dewey,” Louie had to point out with a shrug of his shoulders. Dropping the keys onto the small tablen in the equally small living room, he shrugged off his jacket and then flopped himself down onto the couch.
“I did not mean Huey was not right in the head,” He then pointed out, sighing. “Just some of the people that decided to live in the outback. Like, I have heard stories. About some of them eating raw meat, and howling at the moon. Not sure how much of that is actually true, though.”
"aren't you the one that was so obsessed with trying to get a fraction of scrooge's fortune?" he looked at his brother with a knowing glance. truthfully though, dewey knew that louie was right. boring and rich wouldn't be fun. they needed adventure in their lives again.
dewey rolled his eyes. "well he's not. but whatever." as much crap as he gave huey all of the time, dewey was the one whose egg had been dropped. donald had told him that. "raw meat? howling at the moon? that's-- ok, yeah i've never heard about that." he said as he shook his head. "dude, i'm so hungry. do you have anything to eat?" he asked, wanting to quickly change the subject.
monica hadn't even noticed the glasses or the cane until she looked over to where the voice was coming from. "oh!" she was taken off guard for a moment, trying to hold in a slight laugh. "sorry, i just didn't realize that you... you're" she couldn't say it. it wasn't like being blind was a bad thing, it just threw her off until he explained why he was there. "oh, yes, i understand that. i come here when i want quiet too." monica admitted as she smile small. "do you want me to describe the paintings to you? it wouldn't be the same as actually viewing them, but i could try to make them sound as good as they look," she offered. truthfully, she was only at the museum right now because it reminded her of her brother and she missed him. though ross was a pain in the ass, she did still care about him and wished that he was there in sydney too.
matt hadn’t meant to make the other uncomfortable, just the opposite in fact. but that was okay, he was used to people being surprised or not knowing how to react to him being blind. he didn’t take it personally. “don’t feel inclined to if you don’t want to. but it might be interesting to try and imagine what you’re seeing. i bet no two people see the same painting. everyone notices different things…what stands out to you?”
"well this one," she was about to gesture but stopped herself from doing so, "it's a beautiful painting of flowers, sunflowers. the way that the artist used the brush is unique. the brushstrokes are in swirls rather than just lines." she explained to him. "the colors, the colors are so beautiful. the yellow they used is a sort of softer than your usual yellow. it has more of a brown-ish color. the feeling it brings is joy, a time when things were simpler. happier." she sighed softly.

"Wait a minute, no way. Hold the phone, the door, and the freaking umbrella. Is that you? Barbie? No way." Ken replied with a bright smile. He didn't know if he would ever even see the woman again, after he left the Barbie land to find himself and somehow landed in something called Australia. Where he had fake memories for a while and then gained them back, only to find out that his family was not real and that he actually didn't have any family. It was a sad day for him.
"Welcome to my beach house, and Bondi Beach! You want to come inside? You can see my decorations. I got more horse stuff! It's freaking awesome!"
barbie had only recently got her memories back, so seeing ken felt like a fever dream at first. she gave a wide smile and waved at him. she wasn't holding any ill will toward him, even if he'd tried to take over barbie land and her dream house. "hi ken! what are you doing here?" she asked as she looked at him with wide eyes. she hadn't expected to see him back in the real world like this.
"uh sure! i'm glad that you have somewhere here on the beach! i know that you liked the beach," she said with a smile. "you really like horses, don't you? i have a dog here. her name is taffy." she told him excitedly. she was glad that there was no resentment between the two of them.

"seriously?" maddie asked as she stepped into the business all decked out with christmas decorations. of course everywhere seemed to be so holly jolly. it was like the holidays were taunting her. "can i go one place without all this christmas shit hanging in my face?" she felt like a real scrooge, but she'd felt this way for a while. her and her mother didn't do christmas, really. they couldn't afford it. therefore, maddie didn't like this time of year. she preferred halloween. at least you got free candy out of that holiday. plus, the cool horror movie marathons and dressing up.
.。.:*☆ "I really think you will not be very lucky with that, no." Blaine chuckled, still clearly in a good mood despite the tantrum the other seemed to throw. She reminded him a bit of Santana, really. She was also talking like this a lot of times. And she also had not always been in the mood for Christmas, as far as Blaine could recall.
"Unless you want to hide in the outback somewhere until January. Which I would not really recommend, but.... you do you, really."
maddie let out a sigh and shook her head. "of course not. great." she huffed. "sorry, i'm just not the biggest fan of christmas. i never had many good christmases growing up, so it's kind of a sore subject," she admitted as she looked down. even in her fake life, christmas hadn't been something she often celebrated. the occasional friend got her a gift, but that was about it. she could never afford to give one back. "i suppose you like this holiday, huh?" maddie asked him, hands moving to rest on her hips.
@champagneprblms // isabela for pepa
"for you," isa handed a bouquet to her tía with a smile. they were meeting for lunch, so isabela thought that she'd bring her aunt a gift. she knew that pepa used to love her flowers back then, so hopefully she still did. "how have you been, tía?" she asked her in a low voice as she slid into the chair across the table from pepa's. isa was glad to have at least pepa and bruno there in sydney, even if she did miss her mother, father, luisa, and mirabel. family was family and isa was missing them greatly.

"oh, i'm sorry, this is hospital staff only," peach said as kindly as possible to the person. she'd never seen them before, so she was only assuming that they weren't staff. for all peach knew, they could be staff. she was working a different shift than she usually did, so it was possible that they only worked this shift if they were part of the hospital staff. "unless you work here. sorry, i shouldn't assume. i took this shift so that i could have off for new year's later on, so i actually don't know half of the people working today." she was a nurse that typically worked the night shift. a few friends had asked her to figure out a way to get off for new year's so that she could go to their party. she'd been hesitant at first, but ultimately took on a couple of different shifts to guarantee that she'd be able to attend the party.
@prcphesieslie // thorn for fred
"thank you for meeting me here," thorn said before sipping her drink, looking across the table at fred. "i wanted to see if you'd come to my show friday night. you can bring anybody and everybody you'd like, but i'm just trying to get the word out and fill the audience." she explained with a sigh. "if i don't get a full house, they won't let me perform there anymore." if it were thorn and the hex girls, surely they'd have a full audience. it was just thorn though, she hadn't found the other girls just yet. "if you're busy, then just talking to others about the gig would really help me out." she owed fred and the others a lot, but she needed a bit more help here in sydney now.

maybe dewey shouldn't have been throwing the ball in an area filled with homes and he wouldn't have gotten into this mess. reluctantly, he made his way toward the front door of the home the ball went through the window at. "um hi. my name is dewey duck and i regret to inform you that my baseball went through your window." he was trying to be charming, because then maybe the person wouldn't be too mad at him. "the wind caught it and i don't know, suddenly i heard the sound of glass shattering and now i'm here." an awkward chuckle escaped as he scratched his arm. digging himself in a deeper hole, dewey blurted "i used to be a duck!" it was probably too much and only made his case worse, but oh well.
