glimpses of pleasure glimpses of pain we get glimpses of life until only glimpses remain

glimpses of yesterday glimpses of tomorrow happiness a paltry glimpse wish the same of sorrow

glimpses of adrenaline glimpses of the insane wish the rush was more than a glimpse staring daily at the mundane

glimpses of life glimpses of death everything a tiny glimpse until our very last breath

glimpses of the future glimpses of the past life is but a fleeting glimpse yet death forever lasts

please don’t tell me you love me when even before those words slip over your lips your eyes expose your lies

please don’t tell me you love me in words so bold while your hands once warm to touch are now just stone cold

please don’t tell me you love me with words to be heard when the things you despise escape in your sighs

“Why?” She screamed out into the darkness, “why would you do this to me?”

“Because,” he purred, his green eyes glowing in the dark empty room, “you were easy to manipulate, a simple target really. You were so desperate for love and affection, you fell for the first person who gave it to you.”

She hung her head, knowing he was right, and cried.

I’ve been gone from tumblr for a while and I suppose this is my “I’m coming back” post, and yet I can’t say that I really am back. So I may be back and I’ll post more, I may not be back and this could be the only post for a while.

I used to believe in loving someone so much that you don’t want them to see you cry. Then I met someone who was the first person I wanted to run to when I felt like crying, and I realized the difference between what I thought love was and what it actually means. Don’t settle for someone who doesn’t want to see you sad when you can have a boy in a white tee shirt covered in mascara stains.
