GUYS. I THINK DC ACTUALLY FOUND A WAY TO MAKE READING THEIR COMICS EASIER/MORE ACCESSIBLE TO NEW READERS. 

I’m poking around the new DC Universe site for an OpEd I’m writing and I discovered something:

They’ve put an encyclopedia on the site!!! 

It’s not perfect, they seem to still be adding to it, and some entries seem to be better/more complete than others BUT STILL. When I got into DC I only managed it because of two different versions of the physical DC Encyclopedia and lots of googling. To this day I only managed to read and enjoy JSA as much as I did because I’ve read that thing multiple times cover to cover. 

AND THIS HAS SOME REALLY GOOD FEATURES!!!

Each entry has:

A short intro w/ first appearance

Character/team bio broken down by company wide reboots

Powers & Abillities

ESSENTIAL STORYLINES & HISTORY THAT GIVES YOU THE TITLE, YEAR AND ISSUE NUMBERS AS WELL AS A SHORT SUMMARY.
