Okay I'm including your propaganda HOWEVER I cannot stand for this.
Silver is NOT just "sleepy/nice/likes his Dad". At all.
Silver is an incredibly interesting and complex character, even if a lot of it his hidden between the lines sometimes due to him struggling with expressing them.
First off he is incredibly stubborn. I feel people forget that detail a lot. Silver feels a lot of responsibility and desire to help those around him to the point he'll more or less do whatever is necessary to keep things that way. Like actively arguing with Lilia during the early parts of Book 7, for example.
He sees Lilia is leaving and accepts that on the surface-level, sure, but he also sees that there's more to it, even if he doesn't know exactly what that is. So when Lilia dismisses Silver pointing out that Malleus has yet to arrive at the party, he insists on finding him despite being told otherwise. Why? Because he cares so deeply about the people around him.
Well, yes. He is. But we have to also consider the consequences of Silver's unwavering loyalty and compassion on his own psyche.
Y'know. Like him ACTIVELY WISHING LILIA HAD CHOSEN TO KILL HIM AS AN INFANT because he feels responsible for the horrible things his biological family did. Silver feels so much guilt for things he couldn't have possibly avoid that he straight up has a mental breakdown when Lilia refuses to do such.
He's kind to the point of being a detriment.
So just boiling all that down into "well he's nice ig that's pretty boring" feels like a direct insult to all the depth to his character that can be completely glossed over.
There are a LOT of big personalities at NRC. Everyone in this game has some major gimmick and causes a lot of nonsense, and so Silver seems relatively boring or plain comparatively.
It's a consequence of Silver not wanting to be in the limelight. Of struggling with self-expression (he's got that autistic swag). It makes him easy to overlook unless you take the time to give his character the attention he rightfully deserves.
