Yeah, I'm sad too, but I do love that nearly every new player to join the Caps inevitably says in their intro press conference, "Jesus Christ I'm glad I don't have to fight Tom Wilson/stand in front of Alex Ovechkin's shot anymore."

(I also think the Caps should have Holtby occasionally moonlight as the EBUG in practice so Tuch can experience The Save in real time again.)

I'm trying to hold off having an emotional meltdown until I figure out where Carlson and Dewey are landing, and if Ovi's coming back.

wait my actual #thoughts both of these are such good gains for the caps and they haven’t been signed for 12 billion dollars for 12 billion years I think 4.2 for 4 years on a 30yo and 5.8 for 4 years on a 33yo could be a lot worse since AND we’re finally getting players who ARENT RW… very very good I think the next few years r gonna look crazy for the caps

PO Joseph breaks his silence on how Kris Letang forced him to play ping pong for hours every evening, and got private tennis lessons to win a bet

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but here's a summary:

Kris was obsessed with playing ping pong every night. Even if PO wanted to have a quiet evening watching Game of Thrones, Kris would drag him away from the TV to play 2.5 hours of ping pong every night.

After his kids had started getting tennis lessons, he wanted PO to get some too.

PO said no, that he'd already played tennis a long time ago.

PO kept telling Kris: you are a hockey player, you're a great hockey player, you're a hall of famer, but other sports? It's not like that.

Kris hired a tennis coach at the start of the season and was taking lessons every evening.

Made a bet with PO that he'd beat him in a complete game, PO told him that he was stupid and Kris would never beat him.

Kris took about 10-15 lessons and was noticeably improving, they ended up playing about 2-3 hours before or after practices.
