I would love to see Seb defending himself even under criticism instead of that hat-off respect for everyone, demanding support from the team instead of taking the blame for the team, pushing people over to get what he wants… But… he is Seb.

Well, to be honest, Seb wasn’t always this vanilla-nice. The mentality starts only this year actually, when he isn’t supported by the team anymore which is the first time in his career. 

If it were any other team I’m sure Seb would demand support and be a bit more ‘political’. But Ferrari is Seb’s childhood dream. With all that respect, looking-up and expectation, he didn’t react and save his situation. Or at least not yet.

I actually agree with a comment he’s just made regarding Sebastian…

Seb’s situation at Ferrari is not comparable to his years at Red Bull. I think Adami is doing a great job, but Seb is older now and he has a mind of his own. Sometimes he trusts his own judgement better than his pitwall’s and I don’t blame him.

I don’t agree with the argument that Seb has no support at Ferrari. How does Mark know that? Is he spending time in Seb’s garage? He experienced Red Bull protecting Seb’s ass at all costs, and maybe that’s the “support” he is talking about. But it’s pretty easy when you’re winning year after year. People should really rewatch 2014 season to get the whole picture.

I think Maurizio, Adami, Brosco, Clear and many other guys at Ferrari are firmly standing by Seb’s side. As Maurizio recently noticed, the critique of Seb’s driving this year is not coming from Ferrari. And honestly… the only time Maurizio said something arguably “harsh” was when he told Seb to focus on driving, and now people are moaning that Seb was better off at Red Bull where he only needed to focus on driving… Weird.

Arrivabene: “We hire drivers, not butlers”

So the team is not gonna back up Seb for him to win the championship. Seb is on his own now.

Thinking of how unusually happy Arrivabene was after Kimi got pole, he has a much better personal relationship with Kimi than with Seb. He is also never going to make Kimi the second driver, not even for the sake of the championship. 

Later on Arrivabene is probably gonna say something like, “we have a faster car, if you have to rely on a wingman to win the championship it means you are not good enough.” 

It’s ironic how much a fan of Ferrari Seb is, he actually never manages to get the full support.

According to Mark Hughes that Arrivabene had NO talks about team orders before the race, giving both drivers the feeling that they should fight for the 1st place.

The driver on pole has probably the last chance of winning a race, the driver starting 2nd is the championship contender who is 17 pts behind Hamilton. And Arrivabene just let them race, not reassuring anyone. Not to mention the shitloads of rumors right before the race. Like how?

Even after the race, there is no support or reflection from the man except from calling Bottas a butler, which puts the blame of the race purely on the driver’s mistake.

Yes, Seb made a stupid mistake. But the team principle pushed him into making it. Likely is that he will still be on his own for the rest of the season.

Ferrari needs a big management change they need better people at their positions because this is getting tiring now

Even last year, the loss is easier to take in since the team is with Seb and just as determined as he is to turn things around. 

This is Seb is being abrased by the politics. He is fighting all by himself and taking all the blame. It’s gonna be a huge blow to his career... knowing his character makes him uninterested in politics...
