ahoy, new toy
keira finds a fan in @wst-ruby among the monsters.
man, this castle’s a weird kind of training area. that’s the first impression she gets of the place, marching in with repeated scoffs at any signs warning her away. official notices never stopped her from doing what she pleased before, and there must be something worth protecting if the building is decorated like this. only a twinge of disappointment rises when she realizes blotlings are the most common sight on the grounds; she’ll take guaranteed target practice over a boring, empty staple of wealth.
the occasional noises from other rooms have long stopped bothering keira. most of the time, scuffling blots are the cause for it, and she’s grown familiar enough inside the castle to take her time ridding herself of them all. in fact, she’s taken to keeping a rag with her as well, to clean off her sword for a breather between ‘rounds’ of destroying the pests; there’s a strange satisfaction in wiping their remains off her favorite blade. is it sadistic if the remains are from blots? are they sentient enough for it to matter? well, it’s not like she cares enough to feel guilty, anyhow.
she spins her sword with a flick of her wrist after one such break. rolling her shoulders back, she sets off around the corner, heading straight for the group of scuttling blotlings she’s been hearing for the past five minutes. they run for her when she gets close enough for them to notice, making it easy for her to impale the two that reach her first. keira shakes them off, practically twirling out of reach with a laugh. “alright, you dumb bastards. come to keira.”
Ruby was naturally always the type to roam the areas he shouldn't have been. Always up to something he had no business doing. Which was exactly how and why he ended up at dark beauty castle. The blots roaming around and trying to attack him never fazed him, he danced around them- accidentally stepping on them as he spun around the castle- eagerly checking out all the decorations and new things around him.
It’s turning a corner that he realizes he’s not the only one roaming the castle- if the loud laugh echoing through the castle was any hint. He followed the laugh, peeking over the curved staircase to see a girl. She resembled the knights he saw at home, except there was a more aggressive, confident streak to her movements. Something that seemed unrefined yet worked just as good. He watched in absolute fascination, speechless as she moved with grace. As she performed an extremely impressive move, the prince couldn't help his joy in burst out a cry of excitement. “Hell yeah! Kill them blots! Do that move again!”
