“anyway! how’s your break going? how’s family?” she allows her gaze to drift about his home, grazing the minor details before landing back on his own, “you must be tired, with all those promotions you had to do these past few months, right?” the same smile resurfacing, “or are your old bones used to it and it doesn’t phase you anymore?” he was living the dream that she had yearned for, and if it weren’t for the injuries she had incurred, perhaps she would’ve been able to live a more fulfilling life. poor decisions that lead to even poorer consequences that left her with ultimately nothing.
another sigh, this time disappointed at herself more than anything.
He couldn’t help but deflate a little at her question, lips pulling into a frown as he shook his head. “I’m definitely not doing anything important, I promise. My time is much better spent with one of my best friends, anyway.” He spoke nothing but the truth. He and Haeni had so much history, so many good memories together. She’d been there through so many of his high and low moments throughout both his career and his personal life, and it was all for a reason. Taejoon truly loved spending time with Haeni.
“But yes, cookies!” Life returned to his countenance as quickly as it left a moment ago, head excitedly nodding as he spoke. The grin on his face grew with each of her questions regarding the batch he had baked, unable to stifle the laughter bubbling at his lips. “I kept it simple and went with chocolate chip. Surprisingly, I didn’t fuck them up like the last batch I tried... luckily your advice helped quite a bit. And no, thank you very much! I took them to my mom and she said they were good. I’m sure she wouldn’t lie to me.” A pause. He actually wasn’t completely sure whether or not his mother would lie to him. Maybe that was another reason he was so adamant on getting Haeni’s opinion, because he knew she would give valuable critique.
“Honestly, I’m getting used to the constant grind. It’s tiring, but it doesn’t bother me much any more. But uh—my break is going pretty well. My mom is good, but she’s been busy with work too. At least it’s keeping her occupied. She still gets mad at me whenever I’m late with video calling her, though. It’s like she has an internal clock or something.” His eyes rolled toward the back of his head dramatically, hands raising upward to exaggerate his shrug before letting them fall back into his lap. “What about your break?! I haven’t heard from you in a couple of days.”
❛ Ah, hyung, ❜ he whined with a pout as they walked. He shook his head and placed his hands in his pockets as he smiled. ❛ Not really. I’m ok with anything. What are you feeling like, hyung? Is there anything you want to eat? ❜
Taejoon gave his brother’s shoulder an affectionate pat as they walked, lips pulled into a permanent smile beneath his mask as they waited near a crosswalk so they could walk to the other side of the street. “I’m glad we get to spend some time together today, though. Especially considering we are both about to have some busy weeks ahead of us.” He was looking forward to the holidays, but mostly because it meant that he and Jaejoon would have the opportunity to spend some time with their mother. As much as he loved time with her, it felt more complete with his brother there, too.
There was a small café that they frequented, where the staff knew them by name and vowed to keep them safe from any questionable parties. It was fairly close to Phoenix’s dorm, as well, which made it an even easier choice for the pair when they didn’t want to travel very far. The atmosphere was cozy and the food was incredibly good—both qualities that would make it easy for Taejoon to spend hours there at any given time.
“Hmm... I do have an idea, if you’re up for it...” He turned his head to face Jaejoon, eyebrows perking upward. “The usual?”
♥ —— Hey everyone! As I’m home and quarantined for the weekend, I wanted to throw out a few wanted plots I have for Taejoon if anyone is interested! I’ll put them under the cut below –
→ A rival/someone who just doesn’t get along with Taejoon. It can be mostly one-sided, meaning your muse doesn’t like him, but could be interesting to explore!
→ A romance plot/potential past romances. If you’ve talked to me/plotted with me at all, you know that Taejoon is a very Loving dude, so yeah. Self explanatory! Also, I’m thinking of a potential reveal/scandal with this one. 👀
→ Taejoon’s absolute ride-or-die best friend. He’s got tons of close friends and best friends, but I’m thinking of one he loves as much as he loves his brother—like someone he would truly do anything for. Also a friendship that’s very well known amongst fans. Anyone whose muse is already best friends with him, feel free to snag this!
→ Gaming buddies that he has known since before becoming an idol. He has a lot of gaming buddies now, but I’m interested in some that he’s known since his pre-debut days!
→ Female idols that fans think Taejoon might be in a secret relationship with — but in reality, they’re just good friends. Or maybe they don’t even know each other!

I finally just finished revamping Taejoon’s poor excuse for a plots page. 🤣 Please like this post, reply, or hop into my DMs if anything piques your interest!
under the dim light of the restaurant, yunha is safely tucked away in a corner with taejoon beside him. a safe haven, a sanctuary on earth, where time seemed to stop just for the both of them to be able to catch a breath in their hectic lifestyles. the ink haired artist uses his fork to stab at a ripened berry, watching the flesh of the fruit burst and the juice run. " i feel like i haven’t seen you in forever, " yunha mutters quietly. it had only been a little over three weeks, but that was far too long for the younger boy. " how’ve you been? " he inquires. “ do anything for christmas? ” ‹ @taejoonws ›
Taejoon was thankful that their go-to restaurant was less busy than usual—it made it a little easier to enjoy himself when a part of his concentration wasn’t on those around them, worried they might be bothered by fans that may recognize them. He took a hearty bite of his salad, taking a few tries to spear enough of the green leaves with his fork.
Lips curving into a smile as he chewed, he shook his head a bit at Yunha’s comment. The younger was right. It had seemed like way too long since they last spent a significant amount of time together, and frankly, if Taejoon had it his way, they’d probably have dinner and lunch together multiple times a week at a minimum. “At least we were able to make it here today, though,” he started, setting the utensil in his hand safely on top of his napkin, “It’s been a long time since I’ve had such a busy end-of-the-year. I’m used to it by now, but it’s no less tiring.” Eliciting a little sigh, he leaned back into his chair and nodded. “I got to see my mom for Christmas. That’s the most important thing for me, especially these days. What about you? Anything fun, exciting?”
kiha isn't surprised how easily taejoon says yes to his request, especially when he did specify that this was something important and unless the crescent member was too busy because then they could definitely reschedule to whenever he'd be more free — while praying that he wouldn't lose his courage in the meantime.
that's why kiha is there now, knocking on the door before sneaking his head in. "taejoon hyung?" he calls softly. "are you still busy?"
When Taejoon received a text from Kiha, he was spending time practicing some dances in one of Yuseong’s many practice rooms. He didn’t see the text until a little late, which made him feel awful, but sure enough he responded as quickly as he could. No matter the importance of the request, it would take quite a lot for Taejoon to not make time to see Kiha. He was one of his best friends, after all.
He wasn’t alone for most of the evening while practicing, but the others began to weed out little by little as time went on. Eventually, it was only Taejoon left, despite the many scoldings he received, urging him to not stay there too late. His rest was more important. In the typical Taejoon way, though, he did not listen to the requests of his peers, and continued practicing until he heard a knock on the door.
It was Kiha, slowly poking his head through the partially opened door. Taejoon held up a single digit, indicating for Kiha to wait a moment while he jogged across the room to turn off the music that was blaring throughout the room. “Hey, Kiha!!!” Taejoon’s greeting was cheery, even with his voice strained as his breathing continued to fall heavy. He approached the door and waved for Kiha to step inside. “I’m never too busy for you,” he started, lightly dabbing at the beads of sweat on his forehead. “So what’s up?!”

Synopsis — In which Taejoon marvels over the aesthetics for Bambi’s music video but also whines because the occasion ends with him being soaked.
—
When it came to aesthetics, Taejoon typically thrived the most when they were dark.
Until the day arrived for Taejoon to film the music video for the title track of his first solo mini-album, he had absolutely no idea what the concept was really going to look like. The initial concept photoshoot he took part in for the collective album didn’t quite reflect the aesthetics for Bambi alone, and Taejoon actually sort of preferred that. The mystery of it made him all the more excited to get a sneak-peak at how the video would look after editing. The song itself already fit him to a T—to the point where he theorized that the producer wrote it for him rather than simply picking him to perform the song.
After he arrived at the set, he changed into the first outfit he’d film in: a sharp black suit with a white undershirt, black tie, leather gloves, and a black flat-brimmed hat. In many ways, it screamed Taejoon and Bambi at the same time. He filmed a few dancing scenes in a set that resembled the inside of a train car—all the while cracking jokes with the backup dancers and director, but not enough to get him into any kind of trouble.
He changed into a few other outfits over the course of filming—all of which were primarily black: one added a vest to his black suit and another where he donned a black leather jacket and leather pants. He raved to the makeup artists and director about how much he loved the outfits, and even asked to take the suit home at one point.
They filmed a few different dancing scenes at multiple different sets. Taejoon’s ultimate favorite was when they traveled to a dimly-lit tunnel and powered up some smoke machines for group dancing shots and a few solo dancing shots. The lack of light as they filmed at nighttime really gave Taejoon a feel for the mood of the music video, even without seeing the finished product, and he couldn’t stop imagining how incredible it would look once finished.
At the end of the filming session, though, there were two different scenes where Taejoon was required to be practically drenched with water, and to his dismay, there was no way he could sweet-talk his way out of it. The backup dancers and makeup artists were all kind enough to wrap him in towels and blankets after the cameras finished rolling, but due to a hiccup in time management for the filming team, they had to leave sooner than planned. Instead of being able to dry off before heading home, Taejoon had to load up into the passenger side of his manager’s car, still wrapped in his makeshift cocoon, whining for half the ride about how wet and cold he was.
She spared a glance at Taejoon when he joined her, her eyes squinting as she smiled beneath her mask.
“You might have to worry about humiliating yourself, but I’ve been skating since I was seven,” she teased, taking a half step to the side so she could walk a little closer to him. “But that sounds great. I also want to hunt down a warm drink somewhere.”
Taejoon’s shoulder offered a gentle bump against Heejin’s as he chuckled. “Oh, right—I almost forgot. So I’m going to be the one clinging onto your arm the whole time in an attempt to avoid falling.” He couldn’t help the way his eyes rolled as he finished his sentence.
Carefully scanning the area around them, he attempted to locate a stand where they could buy some drinks. He wasn’t sure if there would be only hot chocolate offered, or if he could get his hands on some coffee too—but despite the sleepiness that threatened to take over him at any minute, he’d gladly take either one.
He was admittedly disappointed at the lack of snow on the ground for the holiday season, but at least the lights that were displayed for the festival still looked as pretty as ever.
After a bit more walking, he noticed a sign up ahead and reached out to point toward it. “It looks like there might be some drinks up ahead. Perfect timing, because my fingers are starting to turn into icicles.” He led the pair toward the stand and turned to Heejin as they waited in line. “Pick your poison: hot chocolate or coffee?”
