It took a second for her to force out a scoff. “Relax, Carolina, I was joking. No need to act like we’re eating pastries and jam on Oprah’s sofa.” Furrowing her brow as if the blonde was being ludicrous, Bradley leaned down to pick up a stick that she could poke the flames with like an eager witch waiting to start her sacrificial ritual. It was a long pause before she spoke again. “You’re not so bad yourself, I guess.” Looping a pair of boxers on the pointed end, she held the charred stick her way, waving the underwear dangerously close. “Want these as a souvenir?”
Carolina took a moment before understanding what she was going on about. Her lips curled into a small smile at the girl’s words. It’s not that she was bad, more like odd, and people didn’t always like that side of her. “I suppose there are worse than me, yeah.” She pulled a face at the boxers waved in her face. “I’d probably shove them in his face. Wonder how he’d react to all his boxers being burned down.”
