Elliot: okay. yeah definitely do that cause i would feel really bad if i had you watch this musical and it was too triggering. i know people have their limits and that's perfectly understandable. i promise the music in this musical is fantastic.

Elliot: no problem! okay. we can always turn it off if need be. i am too cause i want other people to experience this musical too.

Cam: i'm looking forward to the music now too! and gotcha, i'll be sure to remember that when it's my turn. i'd feel terrible if any of the stuff i liked broke someone's limit of what they're able to handle. then the hang out session would just be a whole lot of apologizing afterwards.

Elliot: that's probably a good idea for this musical. okay cool. i just thought i'd ask considering i know some topics can be triggering to some people. so i wouldn't want to do that. i completely agree and i think this musical does a good job of it. sweet i'll see you soon then :)

Cam: you're welcome and that sounds great! i would have those same hopes if roles were reversed or if someone else was talking about their own cousins. i'll be sure to give you a heads up too if i remember anything that might be triggering or just generally upsetting. but also try to have an even mix of favorites that tug on heartstrings and more lighthearted ones.

Cam: glad to know it's a good call. and i appreciate that very much, but i think i should be alright. on the off chance any triggering does happen though then i'll let you know. all the same, looking forward to seeing how dear evan hansen approaches things! plus i'm pumped to watch it in general! and i'll text you once i've arrived!

Elliot: sweet. though i also wouldn't want to take too much time away from you hanging out with them too i know i don't really get to hang out with my cousins much. i doubt that would happen. haha good to know. of course, i would love to do that.

Elliot: okie dokie. haha it's fine cam. i don't mind doing this at all. like i said musicals are my favorite thing. oh i definitely will. you might cry in it though. it's got a bit of a sad story line. but i promise its still a good musical to go see and i highly recommend. though i guess i should ask first before we watch it. it talks about a heavy topic and just want to make sure that's okay with you.

Cam: thank you and i do hope that you're able to hang out with your cousins some more in the future. but my cousins are really cool in my opinion, you're cool too so i honestly wouldn't be too surprised if you guys hit it off right away. then that sounds awesome! plus, if you're interested, i could share a few of my favorite movies?

Cam: that's more than fine by me if it moves to tears. good thing i tend to carry tissues around with me. i'll be sure to take your recommendation and run with it too. as for heavy topics and all, thank you very much for asking, but i'll be alright. and even though i haven't seen it yet, i want to commend them for not shying away from the fact that life gets rough sometimes. that there will be life events that are difficult to talk about, but still need to be talked about. so heavy topics are a-okay with me and i do appreciate the heads up. still down to watch it though.

jake: that's a sexuality? not trying to funny but like..it sounds like what everybody should be doing. i mean, i've never dated somebody for their money or just for their looks or anything like that. i always look for those qualities in a girl if i was gonna date her.

cam: yeah, that's a sexuality. i honestly don't know how to explain it, but with other sexualities, it revolves around sexual attraction. hence the term i guess? it's all about thinking with the downstairs brain rather than the upstairs one. then with demisexuality, the upstairs brain says something to the effect of, 'you know the rules. you have to get to know this person first and build up a connection'.

cam: there's probably a much simpler way to explain it, but i hope all of that made sense.

cam: i thought about it, but i'm not really a jock anymore. don't know if archery would qualify though. but i'd be down to swing by and hang out, if that's cool?

Elliot: oh really? then i definitely need to meet them if they're big into theater like i am. that would be awesome. i totally promise that i wouldn't like them more than you. haha. it is definitely one of the popular broadway musicals.

Elliot: yay. well, come on over then and we can get started. haha i'm ready to eat my weight in popcorn and junk food as well. honestly it's not a problem. plus i get to witness you experiencing my favorite musical for the first time.

Cam: i'll let you know the moment i hear about them coming to visit! and nothing to worry about if you guys hit it off which leads to you liking them more than me. they're really cool, obvious bias aside. maybe if this watch party goes well, you can introduce me to some of the other popular broadway musicals?

jake: so that includes girls and guys too? not trying to be nosy, just curious.. i guess all depends, do you think some girls and guys are hot but you're more into personality over looks to be sexually into somebody (no matter the gender?)

cam: it includes everyone. guys, girls, nonbinary people. and personally, it's all about personality for me with friendships and future partners. looks are a bonus, but what matters is the ability to have a great conversation. to find someone who with a good sense of humor. someone who is loyal, but not afraid to challenge you on occasion.
