im a triple threat
codependent, clingy, and constantly upset
so im sitting there, tit in hand, dissociating
Man I remember when I was a kid and my mom would take me to the library and I'd come out with a stack of books like a foot+ tall - sometimes the librarians had to override the computer which told us we were checking out Too Much. And I'd get home and I'd plow through like three four five six chapter books in an afternoon and then I'd emerge for dinner only to go back for one more book, which I was still up reading two hours past bedtime and like damn those were the days huh.
Goddamn throwback to when I had an attention span
chipped
Man, this is such a perfect analogy. “Chipped”… Just damaged enough for it to show at times, but not nearly broken enough to warrant fixing. And so often does the chipped cup turn itself to show its undamaged side.
Even if you are only “chipped” you deserve help. It took me a lot of time to convince my first therapist I needed pharmaceutical help. But I did, my parents called in to offer an opinion and more family history. They ended up recommending me for a psychiatrist. I know that can seem daunting and effort is so precious in those dark places, but it’s worth it to continue to push through. Push for your health and what you need.
woman in a victorian novel: *develops a fever from worrying too much*
me, shivering and sweating with stress-induced anxiety: wtf that’s so unrealistic lol
Does anyone else feel, like, a weird inhibition against starting new TV shows? Like, there are shows I want to watch but when I think about sitting down to start it something in me goes “no you can’t just do that.” What am i waiting for? I feel like I need to prepare? Brain: You have to wait. Me: Wait for what??? Brain: WAIT
another decade has passed and guess who’s still here? the moon. she’s always been here and she’ll always be she’s a Loyal friend to all of us say thank u moon
From the bottom of my heart i hope 2020 is a better mental health year for everyone.
I’m so easily revitalized by small, loving gestures
I want a soft kind of love. A best friends kind of love. A "good morning baby, I'll make coffee and meet you in the shower" kind of love. I want lazy Sundays spent in bed and groggy Mondays getting ready for work side by side. I want the kind of love that makes you question if you ever felt love before. I want slow and steady and I want jumping headfirst into anything as long as we're together. The kind of love that feels like home and like a great adventure. I want that love.
moms be like “call me if you need me” and then leave their phone on the other side of the house charging the entire day
my mom left a voicemail saying to call her back and turned her phone off
