In the two year time frame for those wondering:
I switched jobs,, twice,, one being awful for my freetime (fuck 12-8’s)
Bought and moved into my new condo
Have a boyfriend I tried to devote my freetime to
Just honestly had writers block about this one damn scene but I finally made it what it needs to be! I’m excited to share it!!
(If this isnt out in a week please feel free to kick me in the shins)

Link think’s Zelda’s fear of heights is understandable, but his life would be a lot easier if she just let herself get shot out of the skyview towers to go exploring with him. Oh well. Look at all the hearty radishes and weird flowers he’s found! (With no future sight to warn the people of the past, stories left behind are unfinished, unfettered, and incredibly biased.)

dance with me by @deiliamedlini - deilia is SUCH a natural writer and i love her characterizations and her AUs. dance with me is a pretty popular fic of hers but i'd really recommend anything and everything in her ao3
stolen kisses by @zeldaelmo - zelmo is one of the first zelink authors i started reading fic from! she has a big collection of fics to suit all different tastes and moods, definitely a pillar in the zelink community. this fic is technically aoc but y'know
the mushroom risotto incident by @zeldaseyebrows - easily one of the most creative zelink authors i've read from! i love the voice in their writing and have both laughed AND cried reading their fics
fragmentation by @1up-girl - i will never be over this fic and tbh that is how i feel about everything 1up-girl writes lol
olive branches by dayhaven - it's fucked up how good this fic is. i don't think she's on tumblr but god her zelink fics.... they all scratch every itch for me. impeccable characterizations and just addicting to read from.
the first time, again by @wanderingnightingale - SUCH a classic fic for only being like a year old but omg, she's an absolute genius and you can hear just how clever she is in how she writes
nights twice forgotten by @wwwhttps - this fic.... this fic.... this FIC.... it's so good. i love her characterizations of link and zelda and how she writes their relationship
step, step, close by @hyperphonic - i cannot possibly put together a list of botw zelink fics without mentioning step, step, close. simply not possible. hyperphonic is a genius with a really iconic, visceral writing style that imo just doesn't leave you
wings halfway down by @kotaface - she wrote this pre-totk and i haven't stopped thinking about it ever since lol
kiss and cry by @michpat6 - i cheated a lil because mich wrote this one for ME <333 but it's so good and her brain is SO massive. like everything she writes is both beautiful and heartwarming and always so creative
prelude by @kazraza - another absolutely classic botw zelink fic that i think about so, so often
valentine, texas by cade/nighthriller - not sure if he's on tumblr but omg, i'm absolutely obsessed with his writing. like every line is so beautiful and unique! waiting so (im)patiently for him to write and publish more zelink
i'm sure if i gave it even 5 more minutes i could come up with a million more authors i love but it's a lil late, just wanted to scribble down some ideas. a lot of these fics are nsfw because that's what i tend to prefer to read haha. you might've read all of these already but just in case!! i would recommend everything from these authors!

I love how all throughout totk Links motivations are laser focused on finding Zelda. That’s why he’s going everywhere, that’s why he’s frantically chasing every ghost of her. That’s why ganoncorpse uses her image like he does, he saw Link jump in front of the blast of gloom and literally throw himself into an endless pit without hesitation in an attempt to catch her. He knows how much Link obviously cares about her and will chase any rumor of her to the ends of the kingdom.
It’s almost on par with sksw with how little Link cares about the actual plot, he’s asking literally everyone if they’ve seen Zelda and the mummy man that tried to kill him doesn’t even pass through his thoughts until someone else brings it up.
His whole motivation in this game is to find her and its mentioned many times that they’re always together and it’s odd that they’re apart and people are still arguing about them sharing a house.
