Noah had his hands fisted in the hair on the back of his head, a gesture that bled into Robby. He was curled around himself, back to the door as he tried to get ahold of himself. Well, Shawn could get ahold of him instead. He approached carefully, making sure Noah could see him.

"What do you need right now?" Shawn asked quietly, once he was close enough to catch the scent of Noah's aftershave. They'd hugged briefly when Shawn had arrived earlier and Shawn had worked hard not to nuzzle into his jaw chasing the scent.

"A fucking professional chair for our Emmy event," Noah growled.

"That would have been nice, yes," Shawn replied, keeping his tone light and his body easy. "Can't change that though."

Shawn just brushed a slightly damp kiss across his lips, which Noah deepened a little before pulling back to rest their foreheads together.

"If Jack had done that to Robby, he would have got straight on that motorbike and fled to the North Pole, forget Alberta," Noah joked.

"That's because he's a repressed idiot," Shawn replied, kissing him again. "I'll win him over by the end of season three."

"You taking care of yourself while you're away?" Noah asked, nuzzling his ear a little. "As best I can," Shawn replied, almost truthfully. This job was proving harder than he expected; the pressures of being away from home, the storyline, the demands of filming all conspiring to wreck his sleep schedule and appetite. He couldn't even fit tennis in, barely finding time to hit the hotel gym between the late finishes and early calls. It was taking it's toll; he just hadn't expected anyone else to notice.
